It didn't dissapear, it was the brakes which started failing from the beginning of the race. Hamilton set the third fastest lap of the race, and with brake problems, I think Hamilton would've been a country mile ahead of Vettel.

The third quickest time, and without brakes? Do you seriously believe we are that damn stupid? Come on man, give us a bit of credit.
I hear his pit say on the 17th lap, "Lewis, I think we have a brake problem", (yeah, they had to tell him he had a problem ?????) and someone tells me it was a delayed recording.
I see Hamilton say he had no rear brakes from lap 3 and I see him lock up his rear right (blue smoke ) and leave the circuit just before he quit.
Man, I´m going to have my eyes and ears tested first thing in the morning. They must be playing up.
I´m not saying he didn´t have a problem, he clearly did. But when it occured and how how much it effected his race, I guess we will never know, unless you believe Lewis that is. But, hasn´t he already been exposed as a liar? Mmmmm................. What´s that about the leopard and his spots again?

I still can't believe how badly Alguersuari screwed up his pitstop! roflmao.gif

He actually pulled in with gearbox problems, it wasn't programmed pit stop.

Thats fine but this car and Lewis were dominating all weekend until the start of the race. That performance normally doesn't just disappear unless some outside factors are involved. When lewis hasn't been fast enough in the past he's admitted it so i'm more than willing to take his word for it..

Did he say that? I heard him say he had brake problems from early in the race that was causing issues in the braking zone.

In the post race quotes Whitmarsh said it was showing on the data from Lap 5 onwards, from watching the race it was certainly clear from very early on Vettel was catching Hamilton significantly on braking, even on the first lap- and Hamilton is usually quite a late braker. All the evidence points to a problem that was very quick to materialise.

Or did he run out of fuel after stopping at the wrong pit box ?

Alguersuari started the race with about 36kg more fuel than Vettel, who was due in at the time he was having difficulties and stopped in the wrong pit box. So I doubt it was a fuel issue at all.

...and finally, someone who watched the same race I did up.gif

We're wrong however, Lewis choked at the start and would've finished behind Vettel even without his brake problem, in fact I heard it was made up; apparently he and the Team chose to save face by retiring rather than opting to finish behind young Seb! stoned.gif

hahaha. In a race where Button and Webber bith admitted fair play. A Lewis fan decides to stick the troll boot in, And its them trolling about Vettel as well. Unbelievable. Then when i said i was dissapointed about Hamiltons race in the LH thread im getting insulted...... by the very same people.

yeah , we all know about the Lewis fankids in this BB
just ignore those trolls

I haven't insulted you in that forum.

I'm not saying Webber did anything wrong. I'm just saying that he's not a gentleman when it comes to overtaking him, and he shouldn't be.

And someone who says the "f" word as often as he does clearly doesn't exhibit gentlemanly traits. Surely, you would agree.

I don't appreciate being called a troll. I've been a gentleman to you, so I expect the same in return.

Well if that is your criteria, then Jenson with his potty mouth isn't one either... wink.gif

Kova...well, he was disappointing again. Time for him to go. And Have Ferrari ever been as bad? down.gif down.gif

QUOTE (OfficeLinebacker @ Nov 1 2009, 16:18) *
I disagree. He kept Kimi behind him through the last pit stops. Mission accomplished. Not spectacular, but got the job done.

Well, keeping Kimi behind should be a minimum for Kova! The McLaren was a rocket all weekend. Kova can set a quick single lap time sometimes, but falter greatly in races.

Hamiltons pace in the race was not representative as the car was broken almost from the start. If not - he would have pulled away like crazy.
Compare that to Kovalainen whose car was fine. In that sense his race was downright horrible. He set only the 18th fastest lap time during the race.

Not completely fine - he lost KERS completely. Not that that makes his performance impressive.
