Great race, very entertaining at the end! Goodbye 2009.
I'm really glad Webber didn't go all dirty on Button in the closing stages, great racing between the both of them.
I feel sorry for Hamilton though, he could have been well and truly in the race for a podium. Congrats to McLaren for 3rd in the WCC though, Kimi didn't bring enough today.
Goodbye refuelling, welcome back Montreal, hopefully welcome back Silverstone, we will see you again in 2010!
Fantastic race,really.
Congrats to Vettel & Webber-they've done it again! Pity about Hamilton. Kobayashi is our new sensation!
Clever bit of driving by Webber on that last lap!
Button's peppering the ****s all around. Nice, sounds like me.

In the words of Button, "**** I should have waited!"
Indeed, interesting race to end the season with and of course
massively gutted Lewis has finally been stopped by a mechanical failure
What an awesome track from which to wave goodbye to 2009 and here's looking forward to next year

The power failed here just before the race and only came back on with 17 laps to go. I was annoyed but it sounds like 17 laps was the perfect length. Just enough time to appreciate the setting and see a bit of racing without all the dull early laps.
Terrible race, terrible track. Only good points were Kobayashi's nuttiness and the last lap fight between Webber and Button.

Apart from the last few laps, that race was dull. Track just hasn't impressed me.

Pleased with that, no Hamilton win to ruin my day great drive from Kobayashi, great battle with Webber and Button and Vettel just awesome
Pretty shit race overall but some good moments

Jenson pre podium
"F*** I shouldve gone to the inside there Mark, both you guys were slow there" live on air, LMAO.
Great finish to a less than great race. Succesful all the same, full grandstands, great atmosphere. Loved it!
Well done to Vettel on a well deserved win
Amazing 2nd race from Kobayashi and Buemi finishing in the points. Buemi nearly got fastest lap had Vettel not improved on his penultimate lap (would have lost me £20! thanks Vettel).
Heidfeld the silent success story as usual was gonna beat Kubica fair and square before he span.
Thanks F1 2009 and goodnight!
So when was the last time a driver finished 14th in his final race before moving to Ferrari?
Quite an achievement there.

The track didn't produce the best racing, but surely it's the best Tilke track on the calendar. The TV director needs to be sacked though - long, wide shots at the end of the straight when Button was attempting to pass Webber, didn't show any of Webbo's post-race burnouts, total crap.
OK race. Kobayashi did very well - great last lap!
Well done Vettel!

Great track, but race with comparison to others was quite boring....

Nov 1 2009, 14:49
The race was over the second Hamilton had to retire. Webber got outpaced by Vettel by a BIG margin, whilst behind him in clean air.
I've got to say i enjoyed that, great drive from Seb - faultless. Fantastic racing from both Jenson and Mark at the end there and unlucky Lewis.
Well we say goodbye to 09, and i'll have the post season blues for a few weeks but roll on 2010!!!
boring race,
the best part was to watch kobayashi and button in the final laps.

Certainly one of the better races this year. That last lap was better than entire Grands Prix; Valencia springs to mind, as does Singapore.

Great race????
I don't think so. 3 or 4 exciting laps at the end can't disguise the fact that this is another not so great track. The pretty lights can't hide that.

This was little bit better than I expected.
The track is somewhat boring, like most new tracks. Give me Spa any day. But at least the grandstands were actually full (even though the atmosphere isn´t even close to Melbourne or Montreal). We´ll see if they are full next year, and the year after that.
Fantastic racing between Jenson & Mark, neat way to close the 2009 season
Kobayashi...where did this guy come from?
lol, great race...

Decent race.
Congrat to McLaren for the 3rd position in the WCC and to Red Bull for the 1-2.

You have a strange definition of whining. He mentioned it once in relation to what happened.

You wait til you hear the German RTL commentators go on about it. Absolute joke.
There is new chapter waiting for us. No refueling, no more of MM, no more Briatore, whilst Alonso at Scuderia, Kimi might be smoking a pipe in his home in the front of a fire place, no more BMW, Fisi(?), Nick (?), Timo(?), and the new Japanese sensation, and much more...

In fairness to Vettel, he's only pointing out what the vast majority of people can readily see: the KERS cars are very hard to overtake on the straights. I don't think he was whining.
