132 to go.
Abu Dhabi was a major let down. Turned off TV after Hamilton's retirement. Here's hope for some months free of scandals.
Do I feel relieved or am I longing for the next season to start? No in both ways.
Seems like Merc is staying with the Macs. Not sure I like it.
Decided to start an off season thread in the autosport forum. Will probably receive lots of flak.

Once the Kimi situation is announced there's really no need to visit here until February. Usually testing started in late november so this time it's particularly bad.
I could spend some time appreciating Danica in the avatar.
133 days of darkness,otherwise.

maybe some one can provide real technical insight to this year's cars? a review type of thingy from a technical perspective?
on a separate note, i still don't understand why the commentators always said that mcLaren had the best KERS system, when technically the power output was to be the same for 6.6 seconds (IIRC)? so I don't understand what was better in the mcLaren/merc KERS system.
Formula1.com has all the technical stories from every race but with very short descriptions, maybe someone can really provide better insight into them in easier lang and discuss. Just want this time period to be constructive.
Lastly, if a preview of 2010 technical rules and regulations could be made for the understanding of everyone. That'd be great, and provide predictions like which car evolved will have better chance in 2010 championship etc etc.

4 months is stupid
Bernie needs to change the system, have 20 odd races and race in the northern hemisphere in the summer then in the southern in the winter so that there is racing all year long

You deserve it - turning off your TV after somebody's retirement.
And then having the nerve to start a thread like this

They get 3 weeks off in the summer as it is, office workers are lucky to get that many days off

It's not a break from work, it's a break from travelling. And even during the off-season, test teams go to tracks in foreign countries, so it's hardly as though they're on holiday.

Scrap testing and have more races or take up Bernie's idea and have more races and then test on the Monday after the race

Nops.
But I'd like to see WSBK running through the winter. They'd escape the Moto GP competition and instantly become the highest racing available thorugh the off-season. Obviously the calendar would have to be carefully thought out, but it could work.

this thread got created before the one I mentioned.

Breakfast: german newspaper is full of the "Vize-Champion" Vettel. Well - Ok. Quite understandably I guess. They hadn't much to celebrate since Schuey. Overall they are similarly bored of Yas Marina as I was.
Had a beer later yesterday with a mate who is also quite an F1 fanatic. Was also disappointed with the season. We agreed that Jenson simply didn't get the deserved respect for his championship. Probably should have skipped one of his earlier wins for one in Monza.
Off to work. At least won't meet any bloodshot eyed Schuey fans with a major hang over, like in earlier years. Note to self: There were worse seasons. Much worse.

You think it was just one lap? It was at least ten as Button started to reel Webber in. The final lap was just the climax of that silent battle.
What about those "three major overtaking" spots at Abu Dhabi Captain Tightpants?
Only Valencia was as boring as the race in Abu Dhabi.

Big news yesterday: Bridgstone quits. I am indifferent. Can't say if this is a good or bad thing.
Butbutbutbutbut - as nobody seems to have noticed: Young Master Hülkenberg. I can't say anything about him, as I never saw him race. But I *do* know that he is managed by Willi Weber. Who I fully expect to prance through the grid next season and to hold his face into any available camera.
And now excuse me while I go relieve myself.
