I am trying to locate Ray Richards and his family, Ophie Howard and family and Siggi Karner and family.
My Dad Bill Bates and was extremely well know on the circuits as Bill Bates Stable. Dad used to do the mechanics for their bikes during the 60's until we returned to the UK.
Dad is no longer with us but Mum has put out a heatfelt seach to try and locate all of the team over a number of years. We have come close but not successful. Can anyone help . thankyou in anticipation.

Hallo Carol. Nice to hear from you. I knew your Dad, but not very well unfortunately. So sorry to hear he has passed on.
Ray is living in England, according to his daughter Jenny, who has posted on the, "South African bike racer", thread on this forum. I´m sure you could PM her and get his address.
Ophie and his family are living on a golfing estate in Gillitts/ Hillcrest, Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa, and he has an engineering business in Pinetown I believe. They shouldn´t be very hard to trace.
Sorry I can´t help you with Siggi, but I´m sure someone will.
Do you have any pics from the old days which maybe you could share with us? They would be most welcome.

I am going to visit Mum in a few weeks. She lives in Queensland. I will see what she has in the way of photos. I have only some with us as kids playing on the bikes. however i know Mum has a lot more. Thankyou for the information. I will pass this on and try to contact Jenny.
