Casey just done a 33.2.
That's not bad, Dani did a 32.9 on Sunday and Casey a 33.0 on the Ducati.

32.5 for Jorge, which is true to form for the post race test.

I think so.

Stoner 2nd and Rossi 6th. Lorenzo is on Race pace n the 32.5s. Stoner is in the low 1.33s and Rossi in the 33.7s. Should be a good season next year biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

If you believe that you should make yourself a tattoo and "mark it on your body", probably in a year you will be asking yourself why you said that.

Stoner maintains his reputation as someone who can go fast imidiately, now also on a new bike up.gif

With Pedrosa injured it was almost to be expected he would end up as the fastest Honda rider already on the first day of testing.

Spies should start the mind games now if he can ;)

Imagine if the fastest rider is not wearing the new "heavy" #1 number.

Uh, that would require him to be the fastest rider. He is not the fastest, presently.

Sounds like Tech 3's Moto2 bike needs plenty of development. tongue.gif If they're still running it, that is...

Jonas Folger testing Moto2 bikes though. eek.gif Looks like doing a 'Scott Redding' is increasingly tempting for those who aren't in the Aprilia charmed circle in 125GP. Although all that said, had a look at his website and he is looking quite lanky these days... perhaps his hormones have already done a Scott Redding. lol.gif He's someone that the 125cc brains have been watching with quiet enthusiasm for a while though, so here's hoping whatever he does this winter works out for him. up.gif

Sofuoglu 7th, Pirro 9th. Anyone think Eugene Laverty and Simon Buckmaster could've backed up the boast they made this summer, that if they were in Moto2, they'd beat the lot of them? stoned.gif

Matthew Birt on Twitter: Filippo Preziosi said he couldn't believe how precise Rossi's technical comments were on the bike.

And

Stoner said he was blown away by potential of Honda. Only used 2010 bike today but said engine was unbelievably smooth. ...
Chubby_Deuce
I always had a feeling, and this is just one of those gut instincts not meant to rubbish anyone, that Stoner wasn't exactly the best at solving problems and developing a bike. The way that Ducati behaved, whether he was running away with a race or running down the order, was just scary. It seems like his fearlessness masked problems.

Motomatters shows a different set of times than Autosport, with Abraham matching Elias' lap and Stoner outdoing Spies. http://motomatters.com/results/2010/11/09/...st_times_l.html

More from Birt: "I'm a little surprised because I expected he would be first." Filippo Preziosi when asked whether he was shocked by Stoner's Honda debut
Rob
I hope we get some die casts of these test bikes. Stoner's Honda and Rossi's carbon Ducati are sublime.

That's interesting. Because both Dani and Dovi always said the engine is strong but very agressive power delivery confused.gif

Unless he tried a new version (of the engine), which I doubt.

Stoner said: “I only wanted to test the 2010 bike just to get comfortable. It’s hard for me to come out and say I want this and that when I have no real experience. It is just getting time on the bike so I can get comfortable and then I can understand the changes and what difference it makes to the bike. I was very happy with the Honda today.

"It felt great to me and I had just great feedback from it. I was able to run quite a lot of laps and we found some excellent feedback. I had a lot of fun with it to be honest.

"At the beginning I had very progressive power delivery and we were trying to make it stronger in the early part of the throttle so I had more control in my hand rather than the engine, so we slowly brought the engine power and we got the feeling better with control in the hand then everything started to feel more comfortable for me.

"The engine is extremely smooth, it is like glass."

I am surprised he didn't mention the breaking. It's an area the RC212V is poor at. Breaking and corner entry.

How did you come to that conclusion? He rode the big bang all day and then put in a run at the end of the day with the screamer. They have all day tomorrow to run the screamer and get comparison data.

Full comment was

" His first comment when he lifted his visor up was a positive one about the power delivery and then he gave some impressive technical details. We certainly have a lot to do to adapt the bike to his riding style but it is really nice and very interesting to work in this way"

Which goes in agreement with what Chubby_deuce said and I agree with. Unintentional dig at Stoner smile.gif

Talking of Stoner, how will relative lack of technical feedback from him go hand in hand with perhaps what Dani and Dovi might be saying they want? Will they be pulling in different directions with Stoner just riding round anything?

In the Ducati camp they will have a bike eventually molded how Rossi wants it I think, Hayden will get the benefit, it seems more focussed.

Will be interesting to see how the Yamaha develops as well. They managed to setup Jorges bike well last year but how much development input does he put in?

Some interesting comments from Ben about his side of the garage Autosport article. I don't know if it's just me but with all the rider changes for 2011, I hadn't really thought about new crew as well.

motomatters RDP just spoke to press: Happy with team, happy with bike, said engine was very smooth, not "100%" with his position on the bike.

motomatters RDP also said he'd heard ROS had been struggling with the position on the bike, so it's a common problem.
