Mayhe he should have been less greedy? Pisses me off that he won't be there but he could have been if he wanted to
Let's be fair: Santander paid him out. Financially he had no motivation to continue because of that. Now he can try his rally dream.
Alonso has a good car in his hands now and one obstacle less with Kimi being bought out not only from Ferrari, but F1. Kimi is the most earning F1 driver next year - without driving.

Oh and Greedi Raikkonen has disappointed a lot of people, fans of the sport and of his own, and me included.
I'll miss him - until FP1 at Abu Dhabi!
That will be a mighty long "miss" then because Abu Dhabi is the 18th GP next year (October 2010), so good luck with missing Kimi.

This is my first post. I have been reading this forum for the last 3 years without posting, and been following F1 on and off since the 80's.
First of all I want to say thanks to all Kimi fans for the support of one of the most spectacular drivers of all time, even though I respect that everyone can not see his greatness. What made me post for the first time is that even though I love F1, I will boycott watching F1 for 2010 in respect/tribute of the driver who should have a place on the grid, no matter what the reasons are. I am sure that even the ones who are anti-kimi will feel the loss of a great racer.
I will read the papers to see who did what during the race weekend but I will not wake up in the middle of the night to watch live timing nor see the races, as I have been doing every race for the last 3 years until now.
This is my way of showing how much I will miss Kimi. How will you show it?
Easy, man. Don´t be sad for Kimi. I bet he will be racing ver soon (maybe not in F1, but who knows...)

Which top team will want a lazy uninterested driver for 2011? especially one who took a sabbatical year now that testing is so limited???
Kimi is no Alain Prost.. eventhough Prost was away for one year.. every knew he was a hardworker.. he was a multiple champion.. and he had RENAULT and ELF behind him..
I think this is the end of Kimi Raikkonen... and the end of Kimi fanboyism on this forum.. LOL

F1 is now free of obscenely overpaid losers.

A loser who was, of course, World Champion, and drove the living shit out of a long line of McLs.

What a shame we have more and more mediocre drivers at the front these days. F1 needs drivers like Kimi true racers. The money story is obviously shite thrown in by the press no real truth or substance to any of it. There is more here than meets the eye.
Maybe Ross brawn will put a concerted effort to attract Kimi now but without offering ridiculous salaries. A top line car that the Mercedes will be next year should be incentive enough. Its also a nice way to rub Button in the face for his betrayal. This is F1, more surprises are yet to come before march starts or shall we say winter testing starts.

Having been a fan of Senna, Häkkinnen and Räikkönen. I will now go back to watch
F1 cars go round in circles, with mild interest..

He really needs a year off, he has looked half asleep for 3 years and include the the year he won the WDC. He just looks absolutely bored with it.
It may do him good.

And yet in those 3 years he still achieved more than some drivers will do in their entire careers. *cough*

Kimi isn't that bothered, so we shouldn't be that bothered. Looking forward to seeing how he gets on in WRC, where even today drivers really have to put their necks on the block.

It will be sad not seeing him in F1 next year.
I was deeply sadden the day Senna died i cried but i will not cry for Kimi i will definately miss him on the grid next year but i will still be watch F1.
I guess now i will support Lewis and have a keen eye on Bruno next year.
If Kimi goes to WRC then i will keep an eye on him there too. I dont follow WRC much but it would be interesting to see how he does against guys who has been doing that support most of their lives, it wont be easy.

The top drivers gravitate to the top teams do they not?
Isn't that what was said all along by those confident that the likes of Button and Barrichello etc could never drive close to winning a title...

F1 is a lifetime marrage. You may lose interest, you may never watch again, or may catch the odd race and tell no one about it, and keep it to yourself, but if you've really enjoyed f1 once, your never really out, you just become a dreamer, a dreamer of the ideal f1 world in your head, the f1 where Senna is still alive, Schumacher is younger, Hakkinen stayed in longer, whatever you want, the speculation, stories and what ifs go on as long as history and human beings document history.
All good things come to a end eventually, but Kimi has possibilities to return, hell even Schumacher isn't ruling out come backs now, you never know.
Kimi and Schumi at Mercedes with Ross Brawn, wow, what a team, a f1 fan can always dream, and if your dreaming, your never truely out.
