So imagine the world on it's head and the silly Kimi to Mercedes rumours are true: Who will be faster?
I rate Rosberg pretty high and think it will be close.
krgirl01
close, but I say Kimi
GIBF1
Kimi would muller him IMO

I just don't see what all the hype about Nico is
DLaw
Rosberg is not in the same league.

I voted Rosberg just to mess with your stupid poll.

Hmmmmm! What did I get myself into?

Nicole who?

So did I. What, exactly is the point in this pole? In 2010 for every race are we going to have a pole asking what place Kimi would have had? Seriously, even MS fans had more dignity than this.
Rosberg would lap Kimi in 8 laps.

Hard to say exactly how good Rosberg is because both Wurz and Nakajima have been useless for lack of a better word, but I also believe that Nico will be better than 2006 and his first season when he was beaten by Webber. I actually believe Rosberg to be really qood, perhaps not the top level of drivers, but very good.

I'm going for the 3rd option.

Using ebeneezer2’s TMADRSYTIKO, Kimi will win, with the probability of 0.63.

Nico is a very good driver though, would expect it to be quite tight.. like Kimi vs Felipe.
Captain Tightpants
Rosberg. When things dn't go Kimi's way, he's off with the fairies.
Youichi
Kimi, in the races where he can be bothered, so 3 or 4 times year.

The rest of the time, it'll be very close.
zarooch
stoned.gif i'm gonna get mad, Kimi... honestly don't go for this mercedes :/ drunk.gif
kar
Even a Kimi off with the fairies would wipe the floor with Rosberg.

This year is 2009. The season is over cat.gif

Kimi is my answer. Nico Rosberg might in fact be very close to Kimi speed-wise, but I think Kimi with his vast experience and cool head will pull ahead in a season-long battle.

If by 'pull-ahead' you mean pull a lap ahead, yeah I think you're right. Rosberg, finally, will get shown up for the journeyman he is.

lol.gif kar! Did Rosberg take your daughter's virginity or why do you flame him like that?

Anyways, I think Nico will be fine. If Kimi joined the Mercedes team and their car was a race winner I think both of them would grab wins. The difference between them certainly would be rather small, maybe with a slight edge for Kimi as he's way more experienced.

Nah, I just struggle to work out what he's achieved exactly in his time in F1. I do find the way his dad has operated behind the scenes to be particularly self-serving and that rubs me the wrong way. Rosberg has had good cars under him on a few occasions and hasn't delivered anything remarkable. I'm not saying he is rubbish, rather he is the personification of mediocrity. And so it's a bit galling to here (thankfully only a few) people gushing about him.

He symbolises all that is wrong with F1. PR Robot, mediocre driver, career driven largely on the basis of his name rather than talent. Piquet got caught out because he had an unforgiving boss (and a decent teammate). Rosberg has had one decent teammate, and was blown into the weeds by him. He then drove next to a plank for a few years. And just at the moment he was looking set to go against some sort of benchmark, he lucks out and sees that benchmark fly the coup.

I want Raikkonen to drive a merc next year, so we can finally see Rosberg show-up or be shown-up.

So Mercedes wouldn't shell out for Button's salary, but are willing to meet Kimi's demands? If that was true it would be a slap in the face for Jenson. Maybe we could end up with a lot of drivers seeking to prove a point in 2010.

Or maybe Kimi will do some rallies.

Same here. Rosberg could be a tough nut to beat in many races, but he has his flaws.,

Thus far Rosberg seems to be one of the most decent fellows on the grid. Why don't we wait a bit for 2010 before we get into frenzy just because you favour Kimi?

They probably were prepared to shell out for Button's salary but were playing hardball believing Jenson wouldn't go to McLaren to have his career ended by Hamilton.

No one bargains on insanity.

Wonder if the hypocritcal Bild would make a claim that Keke Rosberg is trying to block Kimis arrival roflmao.gif

Nico Rosberg = Giancarlo Fisichella 2

I like both of them, but performing against a bottom of the barrel teammate in a midfield car is not exactly the same as performing against a top teammate in a race winning car.
