mel
Dear All,

As per my previous advert, I am delighted to introduce new moderators to Racing Comments. Actually, they don’t need much introduction as they are all active members of the forum and regular posters.

As you know, the Racing Comments forum is a wonderful thing, one of the best racing forums on the Net. We have many loyal and longtime members and sometimes hundreds of posts per day. All the moderators of the forums are volunteers and we all have other day jobs.

Please join me in congratulating Buttoneer, ForeverF1, Gareth, and Victor_RO for passing the intensive mod induction tests, and I know you will work with them to keep RC the place we all want it to be.

I am also taking this opportunity to update the house rules in a couple of places so please keep an eye on those.

Thank you,
mel.

Frankly, I don't recognize any of them but buttoneer, so I guess I'm save to cause trouble in the few topics here that do interest me

Dear All,

As per my previous advert, I am delighted to introduce five new moderators to Racing Comments. Actually, they don’t need much introduction as they are all active members of the forum and regular posters.

Great, I love them all (except for Victor_RO, somehow I have not consciously come across him...which doesn´t mean that I don´t love him wink.gif ) and I have learned to appreciate them. While some are more to my taste like Buttoneer (it´s all to do with which drivers and teams you like), and Gareth and ForeverF1 have always posts that I pick out and read immediately - undersquare on the other hand I have put on my ignore list (and he is still there!). For the stupid reason that once he firmly held a position contrary to mine, and it infuriated me so much that I put him on ignore. Now the story doesn´t end here: his posts pop up frequently in threads that I enjoy, and I always get curious what undersquare is posting and open up his post to look at it and read it! wave.gif smile.gif

So I am all smiles and wish you new mods all the best, thanks for doing the job, it´s not that easy I suppose. Congrats to Buttoneer for already closing an unspeakable thread, and he did it in a most polite manner!

I'm not sure congratulations is in order, moderating is a thankless task tongue.gif

However, I am sure you will all make good moderators and help this place continue to be the great bulletin board that it is.

Congratulations. I don't remember having something bad to say about these members.

I have the Feeling the board quality is degrading, I'm hoping these mods can help make it a better place again!

A fine selection of new mods.

Buttoneer and Gareth have that vital quality called a sense of humour which is sometimes badly needed around here.

Forever is also great, and loves the Meerkat.

Good luck guys! I pity your paid employers!

@ Mel: good choices.

@ Buttoneer, ForeverF1, Gareth, Undersquare, and Victor_RO: are you mad?
WebBerK
Is the new mod the same Gareth that won James Allen's 2009 Review book ?

"
The five winners, who picked the same top five as me are:
Matt B
Richard Thurbin
Nathan Smith
Joe Sumegi
Gareth

"
Gareth
Thanks for the various welcomes.

Not me WebBerk, although my top 5 would have been similar to JA's it wouldn't have been the same.

Yes, I mean I pity those who pay their wages in the real world.

Modding this forum must use up stacks of work time.

I know posting here does for me!
