But he did in Super1 that its the one that counts? actually I think it was 2002
And yes, there are better drivers coming up
Edit, including:
http://www.mclaren.com/theteam/oliver-rowland.phpWho is in karting still, but he will be another "surprise" in a couple of years because he has no "experience"... ac39 knows what im talking about.. when people think Karting is just for fun and doesnt count as motor racing
Success in karting means potential and thats all. Its no guarantee of success in
cars. Despite their similarities and the common demoninator of karting in most open-wheeler's backgrounds, karting is still a different world than driving a open-wheeled car, especially a high-downforce, high-powered one.
Not saying Rowland isn't gonna be a force in 4 or 5 years from now, I'm just saying that you cant just say, "He's a top karter, he's definitely gonna be an F1 star one day." And funding isn't the only reason. Liuzzi was once top of the class in the karting world, but he's struggled to even get a ride in the worst(ex-worst) team on the grid.
There's no telling if Rowland is or isn't gonna be better than Di Resta or Hildebrand or whoever. Its just something we're gonna have to see unfold as it unfolds.
