Also the Mclaren MP4/11 and the orange testing liveries! Ferrari ran a black testing livery which was ansome!

My googling is not at its best this afternoon, but I remember Williams had a very nice livery for testing in 2009 or 2008, with the big number inside a circle. Of course they took that out to accommodate sponsors once the season started, but it was a beauty.

Fully agree. Loved the R202, R23 > R26 liveries

Yup, certainly original and definately ugly. Probably the ugliest ever IMO. Didn't help it was one of the worst performing F1 cars of all time also given the money put into it. Honda made Toyota look good value for money in 07 and 08.

Imo the the Jordan liveries featuring snake and hornet noses are among the best looking in recent years.

That photograph is doing that car a huge favour. IIRC, it was more of a snot green.

Already mentioned faves:
- JPS Lotus 97T
- Any Martini Racing livery
- The Ligier JS39 Suzuka/Adelaide was great
- The Prost from 1998-2000 had the most amazing blue when seen in real life.

I forgot about them. Both the Spyker and the Midland liveries were awesome, better than anything Force India have ever had.

Full of great ones there and it's too hard for me to choose even few that I would call my favorite of all time liveries.
From current grid though I would choose Lotus.

P.S. Someone mentioned it already. I just want to second it. Ferrari should always have black rear wing.

The most interesting ones were probably BAR 1999 and Earthlink.
They could never get it right.

British American Racing in 1999 originally wanted to brand Ricardo Zonta's car in the blue & yellow livery of 555 World Racing, whilst branding Jacques Villenueve's car with Lucky Strike colours. However, the move was blocked by the FIA, and they were forced to run two similar liveries. They opted to have the Lucky Strike brand on the left of the car and 555 World Racing on the right, with a zip going along the middle of the nose. It was highly unpopular, and so for 2000 Formula One Season, they chose to just display mostly Lucky Strike logos, with small 555 World Racing logos on the side and nose. Some years between 2000 and 2006 (After Honda had bought out BAR, and were under pressure to drop tobacco sponsorship under new EU legislation), they prominently displayed the 555 World Racing brand at the Chinese and Japanese Grands Prix, where the 555 brand is better known. However, from 2007 until their withdrawal at the end of 2008, Honda adopted a livery with no sponsorship logos at all, but a livery depicted Earth to raise environmental awareness.

Yup, i loved that livery, kinda reminded me of that orange macca they used in testing a few years back, so hope they use it in season sometime in the future.

Regarding liveries, I liked this BMW Sauber 2007. They used it in preseason and I loved the color combination:



As many have pointed out, it is difficult to see something more beautiful than John Player Special liveries. I´ll pick 2:
The revolutionary Lotus 78-79, the 1st car with ground effect:
