The ski trip is their big pre-season PR event.

Judging by the amount of coverage it gets I think a few days standing around isn't much of a sacrifice.

I can say for sure that standing in the snow, posing for hours, is no fun at all. "Stand there", "No there", "ok, a bit forward, look up, here, on my shoulder". "Wait, there is someone in the background".

It's one of dozens and dozens of photo shoots these guys would do each year.

From the video I've seen it looks like they're having a good time!

Good examples, but they only prove my point. Kimi did some really horrible TV commercials at both McLaren and Ferrari. One can not help wondering why such high budget campaigns is put in the hands of fools. Specially the Ferrari stuff where they tried to tweak his voice so that he sounded "normal", a competent director would give him suitable lines instead.

I think he could have won the championship, and his F1 career should have lasted far longer than five and a half seasons.
