"Can apa7 said Australia jagojago Besides Bill Horsman Bryan Hindle, Ron Toombs and others who mostly use the Yamaha TZ 350, will also participate Ginger Mulloy (750 Kawasaki), Keith Turner and Trevor Discombe familiar to penggelnar racing in Indonesia. From the appearance of Kawasaki Japan - is the name of the drivers who brought hope Yamaha Motor of Japan - Takai and Wada mechanic,"

Intersting guests list , indeed

Unlike Trevor Discombe whom we discussed a few days ago, who seemingly restricted his appearances to NZ-Australia and South East Asia, Ginger Molloy and Keith Turner both campaigned some years on the World Chmpionship Continental Circus. Keith Turner is in fact "responsible" for the career of one of France's most well known journos, Jacques Bussillet , who as a young bike racing teenage fan was hanging around a paddock sometimes in the very early seventies, and started talking with Turner who at the time was looking for a deckhand/gofer/cook/van driver and "hired" him on the spot - Bussillet hopped in the van and never left the Circus trail after that , started sending pictures and reports to the french press and his career was on its way.

edit : actually, isn't that article about a "Jakarta International Race" which precisely claims to have a better foreign riders entry than the Singapore GP ?

I seem to remember that you did this Jakarta or Singapore races a few times , Stu ? Isn't that where the 500 RG was originally debuted , in early 76 ?

Ah, Philippe you beat me to it. I thought that's where the RG made its debut

They were interesting times regarding some of the earlier exotic bikes sent down from Japan. Stu, didn't John Woodley do a fairly good job of hoovering up some ex factory Suzukis that had been long abandoned?

Enjoyed the race report Stu, but you've really gotta lay off the Jim Beam now, mate, it's starting to affect your writing... drunk.gif
