Back in the 1980s I visited Daytona for the 500 but unfortunately my negatives were all mixed up and the programmes have long since gone. If it helps the photos below were from the year when the plane flew over with the banner " I miss you fans Tim Richmond"

I wonder if anyone can answer the following questions.

Around 1981 or 1988 did:

Bobby Allison drive the Miller Lite Buick number 12

Davey Allison drive the Havoline Ford number 28

Who drove 88 Red Baron Oldsmobile

No 23 Wayne Paging sponsored GM car

No 7 Zerex Ford Thunderbird ended up smashed on the infield.

Any help would be appreciated.

Graham,

Sounds like 1988...

Bobby Allison, yes.

Yes to Davey as well.

#88 driven by Buddy Baker

#23 Wayne Paging Oldsmobile driven by Eddie Bierschwale

#7 driven by Alan Kulwicki

Thank you for that information. No doubt when I reach the next batch of Nascar stuff I will be back on again. However, I appreciate your help

I find this site to be a tremendous help when trying to identify NASCAR photos.
