FYI, a Martin Brundle Q&A is up

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport...one/8655252.stm

Seems he has a few regrets over his racing career, which I can agree with.

Shame nobody asked him about his Sportscar career - 1988 World Champion, and Le Mans winner.

Just came across Forumula 2 coverage from Marakech on Eurosport... in HD. Why oh why is F1 not in HD Bernie?

Bernie's head should be on a silver platter! It is very disgusting that it aint in HD, We have great bbc coverage with no ads, and not in HD though. rolleyes.gif but meh I aint gonna get an ulcer over it though.

Now that Formula 2 is in HD, it reflects very badly on F1.
Ross Stonefeld
It's a bit of a non-event really. F1 moves to HD, everyone cries tears of joys for a weekend or two, then they go back to complaining about the lack of overtaking.

F2 isn't picking up audience share because it's in HD, that's for sure.

Or a surfeit of Legard.

There's too much Legard.

Is it just me or are the Classic F1 vids not appearing on the BBC website?
Henrytheeigth
Well I'd rather listen to the Leg whilst watching F1 in HD than to not lol. I am frankly amazed coz in HD the sponsor decals will look even more fantastic on the cars. Heck we have been subjected to cameras that kill the sense of speed in F1 for ages now just for that reason anyway..

Videos don't work for me either. The circles just go round and round and then freeze Safari.

Seems like a Flash issue.

Jake Humphrey's just tweeted that DC will not be present this weekend as he's participating in the Mille Miglia. The BBC are a bit lenient on what their presenters can get up to don't they? What if this volcanic ash comes back and EJ is grounded once again?

Simples. They get Anthony Davidson or Brundle or Di Resta or Ted to fill in.

Or..

Does anybody know why The Spanish GP will be shown on BBC1 EXCEPT South West? I found it on the BBC F1 website and I am a bit scared. It seems they won't show it anywhere else!

JamesAllenOnF1 is improving all the time! The videos are terrific, especially the Silverstone and Lotus ones. I think I'd take James Allen to the BBC, maybe as a pundit instead of DC or EJ.

Agreed, he's definitely getting more features into his blog. I went off him for a while but recently he's been great.

Also :

Obviously just a simple mistake but can anyone imagine Eddie Irvine doing some pundity alongside EJ? stoned.gif lol.gif

Definitely wouldn't miss a EI and EJ doing punditry together. Lots of mayhem!

Personally I'd like him to stay where he is, he could become the biggest independent F1 source out here, more features like that Lotus one and James Allen is up there.

Nice to hear that Holly has got some fresh initiative and interviewed Christian Horner.

Using my crystal ball I predict she will speak to Andy Stobart within the next half hour.

Sound is out of sync still. Am I the only one hearing it lol?

Another message for those of you still having problems with the live video coverage on the website: we're investigating the problem, but one theory is it could have something to do with very high levels of internet traffic following the UK general election having a detrimental effect on some internet service providers and their servers. If we find out any more, we'll let you know.

Well that sucks.

I'm not sure whether Maurice has any eyes or ears.

DC : "Senna, Chandhok or di Grassi?"
MH : "Lotus."

Thanks to the election, the quali coverage starts at 12.45 UK time, not 12.15. Think they mentioned some sort of big announcement at midday, which is the reason for it, or something like that, not sure. Looking again, it seems like from 12.15-12.45 it may be on the red button, then from 12.45, on BBC1 as normal.
