Legard was once again awful. So many mistakes. He's just mumbling, goes on and on and on and on with useless information. Driver X ahead of driver Y. But what can Z do? Is it going to be good enough? Down the hill (seriously, that 1 meter drop before s/f?) Háh!, there's the answer!'. Grr...

Which makes what he says seem all the more strange.

Lots of people do, doesn't mean they're not entitled to their opinion though does it?
Yes well there is a standard you'd expect from the 'color commentator'. I don't think anything Kubica did in today's qualfiying says anything about whether he'd be in the Alonso and Hamilton league, I mean hasn't Hamilton made mistakes recently? It's just not up to standard.
I believe the 'down the hill'is meant to show that legard knows the track quite well.

Not sure what happened to the driver interviews on the BBC website, but mine cut off as soon as Vettel started speaking German. Didn't get to hear Hammy or Alonso at all.

The X-Factor style intro was absolutely awful. Apart from that it was a pretty decent show, enjoyed Jake's driving clip.
Legard was okay, only time he annoyed me was when he kept going on about Vettel being fastest in Q2 when he was the only one to have set a time!

I loved it!
But my favourite bit was EJ adamant that ferrari would try and get hamilton penalised as they don't want him complicating matters before changing his mind when someibody obviously pointed out hamilton on pole would be great for alonso.
he made his point, they the went to DC, jake then went back to EJ and said something like 'yes, so ferrari want hamilton out of the way'..and then EJ disagreed with him!! Completley classic, making a oint and then disagreeing with someone who echoes it!

Im surprised no one picked him up on it at the time, because a Hamilton win makes it very very difficult for a Red Bull driver to take the title.

I don't think EJ, DC and Jake are very good at intepreting what's going on to be honest.
Very good at getting access to people and the inside scoop on stories but interpretation is not their strong point. Same obviously goes for Legard and more surprisingly Brundle has been a bit slow on the uptake with some things this year, macca's pit strategy in brazil for instance.

This. There's a reason why I don't watch ITV these days and they had to go and do that. What the hell is going through their minds? I'm missing the old BBC so much, they'd never do this crap.

Disagree. It's the same old rubbish punditry, the same old crappy music videos of season highlights with the 'Ledge' blaring away. And the Jake Humphrey reality TV segment =

I agree. Too many expert keyboard pundits with a lack of objectivity. There are bound to be errors and the odd cheesy set-piece, but we should be grateful as there is great pressure on the BBC to look at areas for savings. Surely we should be letting the Beeb know that we are keen for F1 coverage to continue. In a few years time it could be cricket!
