Hi all..My name is Michael Turner and my father was Gerry Turner...looking through your website ive seen pictures on here from his racing days and I just wanted to report that My dad passed away yesterday friday 5th febuary..2010..He went peacefuly in his sleep. Some of you may remember him for the Pike BSA and his most commonly raced Rudge's. The one pic on here depicts him sitting on his bike (Goldstar) in front of John Surtess van and the number 112 on his bike.
Anyway I just thought I would pay my respects to my dad by writing this post.

Hi everyone...I wish to thank everyone for their kind responses to the passing of my dad...I would like to share with you a picture of Dad's coffin..I know it sounds odd but i think you Rudge enthusiasts will appreciate what we had done for dad, His funeral was very quiet and descreet with all close family members present.
please dont be offended but I think its worth sharing this pic with you all

What a great idea, Michael. Is it an Ulster?
Paul Rochdale
What an excellent coffin. When our daughter died five years ago she had a cardboard coffin and wicker coffins are becoming popular too. Your Dad would have appreciated that.
