Was there ever such a thing? Were there replica suits for minardi made during this time?

Thanks to all that respond.

Both Sparco and OMP made plenty of replica suits for various uses, mostly for display at their agents for their retail stores. For making sure that it is the real thing, you better have good provenance...

i was looking at an old photo of an 1990 Minardi, on the engine cover, it has a decal saying "Minardi F1 collection", maybe there was a store/fan club that'd sell the team's replica suits?

In the late 1980s, F1 teams began licensing various clothing outfits to sell "works replicas" of genuine team stuff, buit racing suits as far as I know were never part of these deal. The suits were always made by whichever company that made the racing suits in the first place. The Italian companies, especially Sparco, did produce a large amount of replicas for various uses. So beware if you are being offered a suit, check provenance and make sure that there is no BS story with it... smile.gif
