Ok, the driver line-ups seem to have been finalized. Time to start the competition. As I told in the introduction thread, the object of the game is to predict the outcome of the battles within each team. You score points for guessing the correct winner both in qualifying and in the race, additional points are given for predicting the gap between the drivers. However, if your driver fails to beat his teammate by as many positions as you predicted you get no additional points at all, so be careful!

Rules

- The player scores points for correctly guessing which driver in each team gets the better result both in qualifying and in the race.
- Since some of the driver pairings tend to be a bit lopsided I added a little twist: Additional points for guessing the difference in position between the drivers.
- Deadline: Start of the first practice session.
- If a team replaces a driver after the competition has started, but before the deadline, the new driver substitutes the original driver in entries which haven't been updated to reflect the change.
- If a team replaces a driver after the deadline, no points will be given for that team.
- All grid position penalties will be ignored.
- Any penalties or disqualifications handed out after the race is over will also be ignored.

Scoring

3 points for guessing the correct winner in qualifying unless both drivers fail to record a time.
3 points for guessing the correct winner in the race.

1 point for each position between the drivers up to the predicted number, provided that:

- The correct driver wins.
- The predicted difference in position is no bigger than the actual difference in position.
- In qualifying: Both drivers record at least one timed lap.
- In the race: Both drivers are classified.

Example (involving one team only):

Assuming the following guesses:

Player 1: Hamilton 5, Hamilton 6
Player 2: Hamilton 2, Button 3

and the following results:

Qualifying

Race

1. Hamilton
4. Button

Player 1 gets 3 points for correctly guessing the winner in qualifying and another 3 points the race but no points for the positions because in both cases the predicted margin was too big. Result: 6 points.
Player 2 gets 3 points for correctly guessing the winner in qualifying and another 2 points for the winning margin but no points for the race because he picked the wrong driver. Result: 5 points.

In this example the perfect guess would have been Hamilton 4, Hamilton 3 for a total of 13 points.
