I'm in but I don't like this version. Too complex, too small fonts, menus are too short. Boo!
I have a team setup in F1 Manager too. They'll get the leagues working post race one, but if you want in, you need to make a team now.

Stupid - you can only be in one subleague at any one time.
One thing that is really putting me off is just how incredibly s l o w the website is. Christ, if it's like this now pre-season, what's it going to be like when things kick-off proper?

Has anyone setup an AtlasF1 league in F1 Manager? I'm kinda pining for that now!

You can be in many leagues. I am in more than one. You can only load one at a time.
The site is a little slow. To criticize fairly, F1 Manager consistently fails to get their act together over the course of a whole season with all sorts of tech and scoring glitches including slowness. Their tech glitches are preventing a league still.
We have a record number of people signed up with an exciting new season upon us and some new wrinkles to an old game. I am excited to see how it plays out.

This F1 Race Manager easily beats F1 Manager because prices fluctuate during the season. I wasn't sure about what to do until I read that.

Where's the Bonus Question money?
The Sutil spin really cost my team. I ended up with 420 pts.
Cannot complain about Kova and the Shell (ferrari) performances whatsoever.
The car and engine killed me this week.
You'll notice the top six or so all had the Force India Car and Engine.....
Good call to them, but its a long season.

the bonus question stuff's up now on the site - in the page, go to the bottom and you'll see a bar showing your predictions for the race and whether you were correct (your answer is in green) or not (your answer is in red). Got me 1.6m that did, quite pleased

Hello,
Discovered this fantasy game by lurking around here so thought it was appropriate to sign up, make a post and join the subleague.
I am quite impressed by the Race Manager setup, considering it's a free-game. Scarce resources and tricky decisions are fun. I noticed prices seem to be adjusted not only based on performance but also on their relative worth, which is cool. You guys seem to be a competitive bunch, so I am really looking forward to battling it out with everyone throughout the season and see what we can do together in the subleague competition!
Cheers!

Wow the site is slow!
We're 4th in the Subleague competition!
Although my team were terrible and scored 264. Put most of my money into Kobayashi but it turned out Sauber were blagging it in testing!
This is why I don't bet real money on F1!
Kicking myself for changing chassis from FI to STR, would ave been 638 pts and 2nd in the league! Oh well, it's a long season and the main objective is for Atlas F1 to take the sub league competition. Anyone know how the sub league scores are calculated?
Site is indeed very slow
Im thinking about making a Driver Swap.
I can upgrade to Kubica from Sutil if Im willing to downgrade to B. Senna from Kova.
Its on the table and I have an entire week to think about it.

Moved up 12 spots on the back of the brilliant drive from Kubica!
Still lost ground to the leaders who made a great call by buying the Force India Chassis and Engine in Bahrain and keeping them for this weekends GP.
Another strong week from Kubica and Ill be able to pony up and buy the Renault Engine! Then I should be able to make big strides in the order.......
Oh and our league is now second, only a handful of points behind first, good on AtlasF1!

My god I suck at this - I have never played before, but I am still unable to afford much at all without a lot of sacrifice. My current strategy is to sandbag until next race, at which point I will be able to afford some top talent and better const. staples. But this past week was harsh... I'm Atlas too.

I got the bonus questions - so at least a little money all in all. But I'm still sweating the choices. I'm going to sandbag one more week.

You can put the same driver to finish on any of the top three positions? Seems a bit of an oversight by those who run the game?

Website under maintenance at the moment, hopefully this is the bonus question for this weekend

Don't even ask me about team selection haha.....i had Algersuari for the first race as D1, switched to Sutil and now ALG is higher than Sutil in the driver pricings grrrr lol (also skipped over Liuzzi to buy Sutil and whaddyaknow he got a top 10 <sobs>). I've got some catching up to do this weekend, which inevitably means there'll be panic buying and teeth-gnashing aplenty here at team wrighty

Nah its the equivalent of an each-way bet in horse racing, where you can back a horse for top 3 finish rather than the win, but you only get 1/3 of the starting price...quite logical in its own way that we can effectively do the same on a driver (back him in all 3 spots, get 1/3 of the prize if he gets on the podium.....i can say that, i didn't have any of the top 3 last weekend <sobs again> haha)

Yes. You can find it from the menu: Results -> Races -> pick one race to view from list.
There you have the scores for drivers, chassis, and engine.
They have a new points system in this game for this year I see: 25-18-15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1 for all items in both qualy and race, except for drivers' results in race which pays double the points compared to qualy.
Cheers!
Team Plymouth's conservative approach in F1 Race Manager has netted the team a rise into the top 10
Whereas it's Icarus like approach through a last minute switch to Red Bull engines to grasp an individual lead has resulted in dropping to 3rd in F1 Manager
When will I ever learn

I am happy for the guys who took Kubica, well done. I hope he keeps it up. Price-changes seems to be changed not only on performance, but also the car/drivers relative "value position" to others (which is nice, adds another strategic layer). Sutil and Buemi in particular looks under-valued and both are poised to increase their value (if Sutil can race incident-free that is!). At first I was set to change Kovalainen (buy low, sell high) to Sutil... buuut

I figured I should probably make an autosport forum account if i'm in this league. Long time lurker, first time poster
I saw someone asking how the subleague points were awarded. It looks like they tally the top 6 scorers from each race and find the average.
So for round 3: I got 893, Stylistic - 884, Maltese - 816, F1nnish-em - 797, JML Sideburn - 785, VROOMEMA - 785 = 4960. Divided by 6 = ~827.
Zauber GP needs to stop looking at FP times.
Again I picked Lewis to pole and he didn't.
Also Lewis for the win, well, there goes my top 10 position...

Changes for this round: Kovalainen -> Liuzzi (It was between him, the cheap Petrov and the even cheaper Kobayashi. Consistency won the day between these three).
Delighted with my completed early middle game team setup. Relying of course quite a bit on FI success, but so are most people in the top. A Sutil crash and no improvement from 18th by Liuzzi will propel less FI-dependent teams like Zauber GP and Marillion F1 up the rankings. I observe we have our first Vettel and Schumacher picks in the sub-league!
Both Liuzzi and Buemi had their problems so far this weekend, but I have to be happy to be able to afford both of them at this point ahead of the 4th race. Anything can happen tomorrow, especially with some rain. :-)
