FIA needs to look at racing scenarios where it is possible for two cars racing for position can have a 2 second per lap differential. That is not going to be easy and we will be lucky to see meaningful changes of any kind for next year. As much as I would like to see them make some real changes to aero, tunnels, my money is on them bringing back refueling in 11. Maybe tyres, but it is unknown who the vendor will be and whether they would cooperate.
I still think a possible fix for this year would be to drop the front wing. The only other hope is for a season of rain.
I think a mix of KERS and non KERS cars will boost overtaking provided they tweak the KERS and change the rules little bit to equalise perfromance with non-KERS cars. Maybe weight of non-KERS could be raised.
A spec unit would help keeping costs low.

After all the criticism of the new regulations after the early races, particularly banning refueling, I'd like to score Turkey as a big win for the new regs.
Had this been a pre 2010 the Epic 4 way battle at the front may well have been decided by pit-stops in an entirely predictable way (ie whoever has the fuel to go one lap longer able to leap-frog the driver ahead)
Instead we had the 4 cars being forced to attempt their passes on the track. Also the tactical element of preserving fuel and tyres means big speed differentials in different phases of the race, making passing possible. I also thought the different drivers strategies eg Hamilton full attack vs Jenson patient conserve fuel/tyres for a chance to attack late in the race added a dimension of interest throughout.

for F1 with no refueling.
With the exception of Bahrain and Spain, this season so far hasn't been as boring as predicted, and there has been some good racing from time to time. What people forget is good racing does not exactly mean overtaking. Take Hamilton and Webber in Turkey, they weren't overtaking left, right and center but they were racing and Lewis could have took an opportunity to get through, luckily he waited for Red Bull to self destruct in front of him.
Also, some of the racing further back was good such as Alonso with the Renaults.
Canada should be good as well, always good races there regardless of weather.

Well, we've had five winners in seven races, and only two of them won from pole. I'd say that's a pretty good outcome.
Regulations seem to be working very well.

I admit Turkey surprised the shit out of me. Passing between team-mates seemed like a distant impossibility before this race.
I still think not everything's right as the Mercedes blocking both Renaults and Ferraris the whole race proved, but admit things must not be as bad as I thought before. Getting rid of the DDDs and the extra stuff they're thinking of doing next year might almost put the balance right.
Also, I think this race proves once and for all that banning refuelling element in qualifying, does NOT necessarily line them up from fastest upfront to slowest at the back. The Red Bulls minor advantage in qualifying turned into a disadvantage in race pace against the McLarens.
Just some questions on EBD, Exhaust Blown Defuser.
1. DDD wil be out of the game the next year, we know that, but what about EBD?
As the DDD's under body cuts, vertical transition, is not any more allowed within the 2011 Tech reg, could the upper body cuts in the difuser be allowed to race on a formula One car?

2. How about the idea of retarded Ignition System which Red Bull seems to have already this year?
Is this a kind of "After Burner"? and if so is it a second combustion engine cycle? It does en-power their aero dynamic device so should it be declared an illegal device...?
