I think Boeing (McDonnell Douglas) will not be happy about that as their F-15 name looks too similar.

How can they use the same name then? Should expect Ford protected their car names in registered trademarks or how that is called. LOL>

They're already in trouble from last year with Boeing, because of the F-10 Skyknight (Douglas F3D), and whoever picked up the rights to the design of the F-100 Super Sabre.
