Henk A. Hazelaar
Dear all,

Recently, I have purchased a couple of photographs of a formule car, which is unknown to me personally.
Please have a look at the pictures attached.

The back side of the First photograph mentions:
Francis Penn
Northern Editor “Autosport”

Hereby, I would like to ask for your help to identify this specific car.

I am looking forward to see your responses.

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Henk A. Hazelaar

Purely a hill climb car - never circuit raced, IIRC.

Interesting how the Hewland Gearbox has been modified to create the output for 4WD.

It looks as though the car was still running a few years ago.

I think it ran at the Shelsley Walsh centenary meeting in 2005.

Tony Marsh rounding Farmhouse Bend at Harewood.

Tony used to bring the old car out occasionally & his sons had the car at Gurston when there was the Tony Marsh Tribute last year.

Like David Hepworth's eponymous 4wd special and the Peter Lawson BRM, the Marsh is another one-off 4wd device which enjoyed great success on the hills; qv the 4WD Formula One car thread for their dismal performances.
