Since the link no longer works, it might be time to elaborate on Jean-Louis Ricci.
From memory he was a juveler in Paris and died from cancer. From 1987-2000 he started 12 Le Mans 24 hour races, the last being with his son Romano. On February 27, 2001 he died. Rough details, I know, but that is to reboot this threat. Mainly, I remember him as "the one who paid the bill in various group C2 sportscar races, and had his fair share of glory".

Was he a member of the Nina Ricci perfume/posh things family?
I always had a bit of a soft spot for the old Group C Junior cars and entrants, there seemed to be a good number of moneyed gentlemen who took part for the love of the sport - Stingbrace, Costas Los, de Lesseps immediately spring to mind, and some one-off projects like Strandell and Nykjaer from odd places.
Yes, he was, and quite character he was,too.
