:)

Hi,

I'm looking for information about this Italian amateur driver.
especially the period when he drove the Bugatti Type 35C #4843 during the 1927 season and maybe 1928. Only one race known with this car in 1929....

I know that he entered :
6 march 1927 Tripoli GP 2nd
29 March 1927 Circuit del Pozzo retired 8th laps for mechanical reason
24 april 1927 Targa florio 1927: retired after 2 laps
8 May 1927 Coppa Messina 2nd
29 May Coppa della Perugina 2nd
12 June 1927 Premio Reale di Roma 3rd

7 july 1929 Camaiore Cup ranked 1 rst
*

After he raced on Maserati during 1934, then on Alfa Monza....

Is there someone who have pictures ? details.....??? or anything else to help me .....

Kind Regards,

Julien

Marc,
Julien must have Sheldon because the 1927 information comes from there, although he does not say so. ;)

Unfortunately the story (and pictures) of 4843 are not included in "Archives d'un passionné" by Antoine Raffaëlli.

Impressive results Gentlemen but I thought that our friend Julien was interested primarily in Bugatti results. ;)

Julien, if you want to send me another e-mail, please use this address hans@pixi.com instead of the Atlas F1 mailing system :D

In the Lwow Grand Prix (11.06.1933) Renato Ballestrero was second, but after the race was disqualified. He not accepted order of the refuelling point director.
And second in the Lwow was Swedish driver Per Viktor Widengreen.

Thanks Andrzej
That fact surfaced on another thread recently IIRC. I updated some of my data but clearly not my Balestrero file. Apologies all round

Lwow 1933 GP, 11 June (+ 1500 cc class), 304km = 100 laps
1- Bjornstad, Norway, (Alfa Romeo Monza), 3h 40' 38' 6/10 (82.75 km/h)
2- Balestrero, Italy, (Alfa Romeo), 3 h 43' 53" 3/10
3- Widengren, Sweden, (Alfa Romeo Monza), 3 h 44' 25" 2/10

That was the result of the race before the disqualification. Published in some Belgian newspapers in that form two or three days after the race.
