clap.gif My name is Ron Quintana from Southern California, USA.
I watch F1 on the Speed Channel here, as well as WRC, ALMS and Touring car racing. Used to race "slot car" in the 1960 and was actually consideres a "pro" for a few years. My daily driver is a 99 Golf VR6, with Yokohama AVS Sports tires and after market anti-roll bars. Used to autocross a Fiat X1/9 in my younger days, but still drive "aggressively nearly all the time.

Hey,

I've been lurking in here for several months and just thought I could register now and start posting (I want at least 30 posts to go to the paddock!)
I'm a 35 years old man from the same country as the Professor and I do admit that's unfortunately the only similarity we have. I used to be a Prost fan, then a Villeneuve fan and now I guess I'm a Raikkonen fan. I also have faith in the MP4-20.

It's a pleasure to read you all, I always find something I didn't know on this forum.

See you soon
Antonio
Hiya everybody!!!

I am Antonio, 27 from a village in the south of Spain (Pozoblanco).

I have been reading this forum for up to 2 years, and following F1 since I was 12, but F1 info in Spain wasn't as accesible as it is now with Alonsomania and the net (it wasn't broadcasted live for several years... cry.gif )

I would like to congratulate all those members that keep upgrading the forum with their comments, apart from Bira and the guys running the website, providing us with info we might not get by other sources. I will try to make my contributions as interesting as possible.

Obviously, I am interested in Alonso, but I love racing as a whole, I am not a "fan" in its radical sense.

I do apologise for any mistake I might make, as English is not my mother tongue.

Yours sincerely,

Antonio

Hey Everyone!

Long time lurker, first time poster. It's amazing how much info a relative F1 neophyte like myself can get from this forum. We get Amus, Turun etc... pretty good stuff really. Just wanted to thank the guys that find the time to translate some of the articles from these sites, you know who you are!

Catch you later!

Hi everybody,

I´m from Colombia. Obviously my favorite driver is JPM, who I expect recovers soon. I´ve been subscribed to ATLAS for a while, I think it's the best site for F1 stuff. Now, I want to start posting. I might be able to give you some news of JPM from de Colombian media.

See you guys soon.

Hi everyone, I'm new to the board as well.

I'm British, so I like to see McLaren and Williams doing well, I'm also a big fan of Montoya because he reminds me of my all-time F1 hero, Nigel Mansell!

Do have a look at my website which features a free weekly F1 magazine and loads of other information:

Hello wave.gif

My name is Vadim and I'm a 22 year old Forumla 1 fan from Israel.

I've been registered for a while now and have been lurking for most of the time, but I recently landed a job that has me sitting in front of the computer for way too long so I've decided to actively join this lovely party.

I've been following F1 for over 10 years now. My favorite driver is Jean Alesi. He left F1, but Ferrari stayed on with me, though I don't particularly like Schumacher. I'm searching for a driver to support for years and the closest I've come to is FA, and our relationship hasn't worked out.wink.gif

That's about it.

been a F1 fan since 74 Lauda/Ferrari.
My first race was 82 Long Beach GP. Gilles in the bi winged Ferrari finished 3rd but was DNqed
Always been a Williams fan too but it's hard to love em the last while.
I think Frank Williams is a great man. How many people could do what he has.

Anyway

I look forward to lots of interesting threads

Hi guys,

My name is Marcus and I am 30 yrs old from Bavaria in Germany. I have been following F1 since I was a kid as my closest school friend's father worked for Porsche and we would all gather to watch every race. The times I have enjoyed watching F1 the most have been when Prost-Senna-Piquet-Mansell drove. My favourite team is of course Williams as I have seen over the years that they go racing for the love of Motorsport. No politics, tough-talk - just plain motor racing. And I admire both Sir Frank Williams and Patrick Head for what they have done for the sport.

My favourite driver, whom I adored as a teenager, is The Professor - Alain Prost. I could wax eloquent about him but we will leave that for another day and time.

My favourite track - well - for the challenges they pose, I like Spa and Suzuka. One track I did not like at all was the A1 ring in Austria and I am glad it is no longer part of the F1 calendar.

My wife, Claudia, differs with my choice above radically in all the above categories and has threatened to join the Forum too if I get too pro-Williams or pro-Prost so I guess I will temper my posts wink.gif

We both work as aerodynamicists for a gas turbine company here in the Bavarian alps and try to make it for at least 1 race a year.

So then, see you guys in the AtlasF1 paddock ....

Ciao

Hi Everybody,

New poster but old reader. I've had enough of reading everyone elses posts and never posting myself!

Fave race: Mansell Piquet British GP 1987 + Häkkinen/ Schumacher Spa 2000.

Cars: Ferrari 641 (1990) and the Porsche 917K

Let's see if this manages to get up there!

Hi, everybody!

I've been reading Atlas F1 BB more than a year and finally find a courage to start posting too.
Sorry for my bad english, but I don't have many opportunities to train my speaking and writing frown.gif

Already dedicated motorsport fan.
Have to say your BB is the best out there.
Respect to all BB members, everyday I'm learning a lot from you all!

Hello all,

I am Varvana from Espoo, Finland, and I am currently 26 years old.

I have been following F1 from the days of Mika Häkkinen. As it happens to be, my favourite driver is Mika.wink.gif But I do have a lot of respect for Michael Schumacher and his achievements. Currently I am impressed by Kimi Räikkönen as well as Fernando Alonso, but I have a soft spot for NH and DC too.

I have been reading this forum for quite a while, and have managed to write a couple of posts. Reading this forum has been very educating, I really appreciate the analytic approach of this place. (At least compared to other F1 forums I have been reading... It is really disappointing to see the level of discussion at some bulletin boards.) Hopefully I can contribute to these discussions in a constructive manner.

The funny thing is that I am more into F1 than my boyfriend is. He has been very supportive though - he watches the races with me, and he even bought me the Finnish F1 digiTV package as a present. kiss.gif Even though he doesn't have the interest or time to read F1 sites, he stills wants to know what is discussed here... Admittedly, it is more fun to watch the races when you are aware of the things that are going on behind the cameras.

Hello all,

Long time lurker, but even longer time F1 fan.

Been addicted to the sport through all it's ups and downs for as long as I can remember, and sadly taped every race since 1994...

Was a huge Senna fan, despite his undoubted misdemeanours. He died the day after my 18th birthday, and I will always remember watching him sat on the grid at Imola in his Williams, with his helmet balanced in front of him on top of the car whilst he tucked his balacalava into his race-suit, thinking to myself that something awful was going to happen to him...

Anyway, I'm no Schumacher fan, but find it hard to think of a real racer's race better than him winning the 1995 European GP at the Nurburgring.

Don't support anyone in particular, just love to see good hard charging racers doing what they do best.

Cheers,
Ballon

Hi everone!

I'm from New Jersey/U.S. I've been been a fan since 91. I used to be a diehard tifosi till 2002 Austria GP (honestly, there were something more that sicked me off in years too). down.gif. I promised myself that I never gonna support my lovely team till MS leaves. but...

...It doesn't seem that MS retires till 2008 and I couldn't resist anymore. blush.gif It was kind of boring to watch races without supporting anyone. Then, Massa joined Ferrari. I like his aggressive style. He is a new motivation for me but if Rossi joins, I dunno rolleyes.gif

Thanks.

Hello to all of you!
My name is Pedro, i'm from Portugal and i'm 29! I've been watching F1 since 1984 when i watch my first race with my dad! Remember M. Alboretto in the Ferrari with his teammatte Rene Arnoux, my father was a big fan of Rene Arnoux! But back then, Ferrari team wasn't winning a lot, so i have to choose another team, and that was Mclaren team, althought i also like Williams very much, probably more then i use to like Mclaren! People change... smoking.gif
I have a lot of driver's i like: Rene Arnoux, Alboretto, Lauda, Prost, Rosberg, Piquet, Mansell, Senna, Schumacher, Hakkinen, Villeneuve, Raikonnen, Alonso and of course Monteiro! I think Monteiro will be a great pilot, just give him a chance!
I hope i have a great time here with you guy's!
Best Regards!

Hello Everyone

I am a 37 year old opinionated Scottish motor racing fan. First memory is James Hunt winning the world championship,Hunt was my first hero, not just for his racing these days. I hate bland corporate drivers eg Trulli and Ralf so boring.Use to hate DC for that reason but like the reborn Red Bull version,Crazy Davie C...........

Like all motorsport apart from Nascar and WRC without the genius that is Colin Macrae.

Feel free to message me or disagree with me,it is what makes life interesting.

Thanks

Hello all,
Just discovered the forum after being a motorsport fan for ages, I'm James and live in Reading, brought up on F1 & rallying having accompanied my father marshalling on several yorkshire forest stages, but as yet haven't been to an F1 race.
However I'm split between F1 & Gt/ prototypes having been to Le Mans twice '03 & '05, looking forward to '07 (this year might evetually get to the British GP).

Looking forward to seeing/ reading whats on the forum.
