Montera
Hello... My name is Montera, I am 25 years old, blonde with blue eyes, 1m70cm, 55 kg and 90C "naturel". I'm a student of languages and I live in Paris.

(HA! You wish.)

In fact I'm a F1 male fan, I follow F1 since my mum stopped changing my nappies (just a few weeks ago) and I am here to satiate my hunger for F1 news.

See U around.
Solare
Hello world,

Here's A quick and shy introduction about me.
I am from Rome, Italy and I am 33 years old. I got interested in Formula 1 at around the Lauda era back when I was a very little boy. Then came puberty and I stopped watching F1 for a long period for some unknown reason.
I then found myself watching races regularly again back in 95/96. I watch F1 more or less regularly since then.
I cheer for Ferrari and hope Kimi will be doing fine now that he's with us.

Cheers
Aco
Hi All !

I will be very short ambivalent.gif

I live in Croatia, 19 years old... I'm watching every F1 race since 2003, so I'm
counting my full F1 experience from then. Big Honda two and four wheels

Hello, I am new here, please be gentle.

I have been following F1 since the mid-seventies (Lauda,Hunt and all that) but i didn't get to see my first GP 'til the era of Mansell (as good a time as any I suppose).

My F1 hero's throughout this time have been Senna,Mansell,Hill, but I feel that i'm a bit too old to have heroes now. If I had to be pushed into declaring my allegeance right now I suppose it would have to be for the "boy" Button, though if he doesn't fulfill his potential this year I doubt he ever will.
COUGAR508
Hi, I've just become a member.

I'm 37 years old, from West Yorkshire in the UK, and work in insurance.

I vaguely followed F1 as a kid in the Seventies, and can recall Lauda's Nurburgring crash, Hunt's world title etc. However, I truly became fascinated by Grand Prix Racing after watching Gilles Villeneuve's 1981 Monaco win on TV. I was enthralled by the colour, the noise and the personalities.

My favourite era of racing remains the Seventies, due to the diversity of the cars, the competitiveness of the racing, and the charisma of the drivers.

I'm fully OCD when it comes to Grand Prix racing, I worship every word Nigel Roebuck writes , and the coolest thing I own is a postcard from the 1956 Monaco grand prix signed by Stirling Moss.

Hi everyone wave.gif

My name is Coral. I am from Glasgow in Scotland and I have been an F1 fan since I was a baby! I try to go to at least one race a year. Over the years I have followed Jackie Stewart, James Hunt, Gilles Villeneuve, Ayrton Senna and most recently Fernando Alonso. My favourite driver of all time is Jim Clark though sadly I am too young to have seen him race.

I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone here! smile.gif

Hello up.gif

New here, obviously. I've been into F1 from the days when i thought Rubens was a driver and a Barrichello was a car biggrin.gif he was at Jordan if that helps lol.

Anyway, i'm 21 from London - though soon to be Cardiff and a McLaren 'fan', though any of the British teams and drivers i'll happily support, and Mark Webber because he's seems a nice chap for an f1 driver.

I arrived here because none of my family, friends or girlfriend have ANY interest in F1 at all, so i'll no doubt have a thing or two to say on the forums ;) so i'm stoned.gif to find this place!

All the best,
Danny

Hi,

I've been following this forum for a while and F1 for a bit longer while still so I thought I'd try to contribute something to the discussions. I'm from Finland so McLaren used to be the team I rooted for given the best Finnish drivers drove for them from more than a decade, but I'm trying hard to become a Ferrari and Renault fan now. Actually it hasn't been that hard, guess the national pride factor overcomes old habits quite effortlessly.

Thanks and looking forward to some interesting discussions.

Hey Everyone,

My Real Name is Chris, have been an avid Ferrari Fan since 1993 have been reading this forum for a couple of years now and thought it about time with the new f1 season starting that I should start contributing my opinion/view/bias towards ferrari on these threads.

Hi all,

My real name is Vanessa and I live in Australia. I have always watched the Australian grand prix but really got into F1's when I lived in the UK about 4 years ago. I am now one of those freaks that stay up to watch the European races and worse still set the alarm to watch the North and South American races.

DC originally was my favourite driver and as a result I am a McLaren fan and I am truly torn with Kimi moving to Ferrari, as I worshiped him, but I hate Ferrari, so I guess it will be Alsono and Hamilton this year.

This will be my third Melbourne GP. I have a "contact" that gets me into the paddock and last year I got a private tour of the McLaren garage, which is the highlight of my life!. I will post photos at a later stage if anyone is interested. We will see where I get this year wink.gif

Like Danny, no-one I know in real life is the least bit interested in F1's, so I have to find an outlet.

Dark.Heat
Hello,

I've been coming to these boards just to see everyone's opinions on various matters and loved reading through some of the threads. I'm 16 years old and I live in Miami, FL and down here there is no television coverage of F1, the only option is the Speed Channel. One problem: I haven't had Speed in years frown.gif . I've basically become an internet F1 fan, seeing as this is the only way I get F1 news, results, and such.

Looking forward to posting on the forums! cool.gif

New person here. I live in Virginia on the east coast of the US. I get the Speed Channel so I get
the F1 races. I watch all kinds of motor sports but my main love is NASCAR.

I'm going to enjoy watching how Lewis Hamilton will do in F1. There's also the question of young Marco Andretti and what will he do.

It has been fascinating to watch Juan Pablo Montoya. I saw the race in Mexico and it was an amazing thing to watch. He just had a very good weekend in Atlanta in both the Busch and Cup races. But he is going to the short tracks next and he will have an education, poor boy. Then there's Darlington.

In eight days I imagine JPM will be testing at Richmond(another short track) for the Busch race.

You'd probably be surprised how many of us here live in the Southeastern US. The funny thing is, you just might be the first one to join since Montoya switched to NASCAR. Welcome! up.gif

Hi everyone...yet another newbie! I've been following F1 for a few years now but only went to my first race 2yrs ago - which was the Bahrain GP. I can honestly say I've never been so hot in my life, my flip flops nearly melted lol.gif It was fantastic, what an experience. Also did Silverstone last yr, which again was brilliant. The noise! As you can tell I was a Montoya fan - although it may have been more about his eyes than his driving (I'm shallow!) Happy that the new season has finally kicked in - but not so happy that I have to wait 3 weeks for the next round! Look forward to chatting to you all wave.gif

Welcome mrsmontoya and Richmondgirl. I am starting to get into NASCAR at the moment but my main passion has always been Formula 1.
richmondgirl
robnyc,

Thanks for the welcome. It will be interesting to see what you think of Bristol. It is a tough track.
160,000 people come to each Cup race and it sells out every time. They call it Thunder Valley.

I've never been but I hope to get to the night race in August either this year or next year,

Drivers have to basically leave their egos outside the track and have to deal with the fact that stuff will happen to the cars. You basically race the track and not the other drivers.

For drivers when they have a good day at Bristol it is a very good day.

The 3 short tracks are a throwback to the early days of NASCAR. Plus many drivers started their careers at local tracks(paved & dirt) that are short tracks.

Hi I'm Gareth, egg to my friends, I've been an F1 fan for as long as I can remember, favourite driver is Justin Wilson (I know he only had a brief stint in F1), fav team is Williams, I've been to quite a lot of races although it will never be enough! I'm really looking forward to BGP this season, it'll be my first time camping over, can't wait!
Louis Mr. F1
Hi egg, welcome to the forum - I do like Justin Wilson, still remember his way of getting to F1 (appealing to the public to invest in him), he did quite good in his Minardi times, the spell with Jaguar wasn't a true reflection of his ability as the team could only serve 1 competitive car. I'm hoping that he might get a second chance of landing a F1 ride.

enjoy the discussions and the occassional heated arguments.

This is interesting - why no return? Doesn't Wilson have a paying drive in Champ Cars?

Edit: Or is the "investment" only in his F1 career? I guess that'd explain it.

Hey everyone,

I'm Muddie, 17 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia... I'm a longsuffering Williams fan pinning my hopes on Nico Rosberg. I first started watching F1 in the early 00's and went to my first race (Sepang) in 2003 when we moved to Malaysia and have been going to the Malaysian Grand Prix every year since. I also enjoy watching A1GP and support Germany. (Nico Hulkenburg!)

Hi all, I'm David. Originaly from the UK but have been living in Cambodia for the last 7 years. Design drug treatment programs for street and urban children and youth for a living all over the region for a Non governmental organization with a healthy sideline as a painter.
Been a race fan since I was 13 back in the mid seventies but as you can guess living in Cambodia am a little deprived on that front these days. Have always had a fascination for rare and obscure photos of F1 cars, especially from the mid-late seventies. Plan to return to the UK in August for a few weeks (a rare thing) and dig out the library, go scan frenzy........

Hi!

I'm Giovanni, I'm italian, I'm 40 and I'm passioned of motorsports (F1 in particular) since 1975.

I live in... 2nd row! lol.gif
Try to explain: my hometown is in Romagna and is placed at 2 km. from Lugo di Romagna (the Francesco Baracca's town, the aviator who gift the Cavallino rampante's brand to Enzo Ferrari) and 15 km. from Faenza (Minardi - Toro Rosso factory).
The circuit of Imola is also very close to me (25 km.), so I'm grow up with the engine's sound in my ears.

Lugo di Romagna is also the town of birth of Fabio Taglioni, the engineer who designed the first Ducati's desmodromic engine, and my friend Mario Lega, World Champion of 250 cc. in 1977.

My heroes are, in order of time, Emerson Fittipaldi, Niki Lauda, Gilles Villeneuve and Ayrton Senna.
Now I'm a fan of Bruno Senna, I know personally and follow him since 2004, I'm sure he's a talent (specially in the wet) and I hope he'll began a F1 driver.

I collect 1/43 F1 model cars, I like Pink Floyd, U2 (before '97), Stevie Ray Vaughan, Peter Sellers, Mel Brooks and the first two movies of Quentin Tarantino.

Sorry for my very bad English... blush.gif

Yes!

Mario (I call it "Ass" in Romagna's slang, the traslation of "Ace", don't misundertand roflmao.gif ) is a true gentleman, who has no the right spirit for "to sell" his image, a different way of life than Cecotto (he also lives in Lugo when he ride for Yamaha-Venemotos). Johnny have made himself a very good future, Mario continued to work in the national phone company until a few years ago.

Now he has a relationship with Ducati and Pirelli in a racing school for Ducati's customers.

I hope you have understand what I've write... blush.gif

This picture has been taken in 2002, the 25th anniversary of his World Champioship.
On his side, his wife Clemy and his daughter.

P.S. You can send a PM the user Mario Donnini for further info about Mario.

Hi,everybody.

Maybe you should welcome a chinese too.
Yeap,i'm a chinese and a girl.

I'm 27 years old. I have watched F1 since 2004. It's my first live GP in Shanghai. So i have a late start on you in this sporting.

I just know some famous drivers like Senna, Schumcher,Lauda...Not too much. Then i'm inclined to appreciate Fernando Alonso. His complete absorption in his work affected his former team--Renault.

So those are my mind. I like watching racing with you, bouncing off you, and having you bounce off me. Thank you!
