Ok I have a follow up question. I have never been to a f1 test and i am curios about how this works. Can you enter the track or do you have to find a spot where you can see the track and cars from. How close can you be to the cars and personal at testing.

Some are more organised than others and I've been to a few - dome by design, some on a whim...

Silverstone testing is usually well attended and there's free access to the granstands along the pit straight but you'll not get anywhere near the paddock.

Jerez was the best I've been to. I was in SW Andalucia and called by - straight in and watch from the a bank with a fantastic view of the track, but no trackside access. A small (20) dedicated crowd really made the day.

Valencia - security directs you to the 'restaurant' that gives you a 'fair' elevated view of the track, but a tad antiseptic.

Barcelona circuit is ok. They give you access to some of the grandstands. Unfortunately no access
to paddockarea without a pass.

How much does it cost to attend a test then? And where would you buy tickets to get into the paddock? I'm interested in attending at Silverstone if there are any coming up. Thanks cat.gif .

Thanks, I've just been browsing that site, before I decided to check back here lol.gif . I'll email them to make sure you don't have to buy tickets, but does anybody know if you can buy tickets to get into the paddock at all, on test days?

Thanks for the info regardless and have you ever been on a test?
