In 1998, I went to the Italian GP through Grand Prix Tours and it included the Ferrari and Lambo factory tours with Phil Hill as our guide. It does not get much better than that (oh, maybe so...we also had a Ferrari 1 - 2 that weekend). From what I understand, you need to have a connection, pay for a tour like I did, or get your Ferrari dealer to set up a tour. Not an easy task, unless you have a few examples of the mark.

Good luck, and it is worth every penny if you have to go the route i did.

I went to the factory on my own in 1998 & it was incredible, but they won't let you anywhere near the F1 facilities. All the tours are by appointment & you'll need to get a Ferrari dealer to get one for you.
You will need to know exactly (specific date & time) when you will be there. Also they limit the number of guiests you can bring so make sure you know this before going to the dealers.

BTW no one under the age of 16 is allowed & cameras MUST be checked at the door.

If you go during the week walk down the street to the bridge & you'll be able to watch the F1 testing at Fiorano.

Also, don't forget to go to the museum & have lunch at the Cavallino across from the factory.
Have fun...

I was there! I was in the Ferrari Museum when I saw Phill Hill guiding a group around. I tagged along and got the guided tour for free!!

I didn't manage to get into the factory till 2003 when a friend invited me to join him on a tour. I took my camera with me into the factory and wasn't asked to hand it in.

Check out this thread. The last post also has links to some pictures of the museum.

In 1986, working in advertising, I had the privilege to know Mr. Franco Gozzi, who invited me to met Maranello for the official tour, but the F1 ones was testing at Imola. Unforgettable feeling, three laps flat-out by a factory tester in a Testarossa at Fiorano. Interesting place Maranello, there was an fodder company advertising show all over the town, the logo was exactly like the Ferrari’s one, but change the pricing horse for a pricing and smiling pig.

LOL... that's great.

Forgot to mention that we went to the Cavallino for lunch (very worth checking out) and there was a shake-down test that day too. What a day. I have a great pic of Phil Hill next to me in a Lambo powered F1 at their factory. I just need to find it.
