I was able to rename the file in Zoombrowser, the Canon software, but the Data Type did not change it becomes .jpg.ti and it is still a TIFF file. My Photoshop doesn't offer me the option of changing Tiff to Jpeg. What program is Paint?

Paint is the basic image tool software embeded in your windows installation , it allows basic drawing and painting ( as suggested by the name ) , and images treatment ( cropp , resize , save...).
Normally it should be already installed on your computer ( if you run a windows PC of course , and not a Mac ) , browse in the start menu : all programs / accessories /paint

Thank you Tom, first wickedly, now bitchenly, I'm getting cooler every day. Perhaps I should go for another name-change. Snoop Pencil Tone? The gold crown helps, but as it is a bit far back in my gob I have to adopt a fearsome grimace to reveal it. I've tried practicing infront of a mirror, but it doesn't look very attractive, even to me, and I dribble a lot.

...just a small correction: Lotus 56 raced in 1968. Lotus 64 was intended to race in 1969, but was withdrawn after Andretti put it in the wall following a rear right hub failure. The 64 never raced at all. Andretti won, but in a Hawk Ford.





Otherwise, what a joy this thread is with Maestro Matthews' (or Matthieu) wonderful drawings, backed by all the rest!

You're right, my fault.

Lotus 64 never raced at all, but Lotus 56 yes. Except known Lotus 56B in F1 1971, raced clones of original Lotus 56 in formula USAC 1969 and 1970 but with another engines - like Offy and Plymouth.

If you search for Goodwood FoS 2008 and photos threads you will see the full story and pictures of the unraced survivor.

There is a good coloured cutaway of the Dolphin Porsche, qv Ken Miles, on a site operated by TNF's Frank Sheffield, but I cannot find the site now. More than reluctant to post the image, copyright etc

Well, the Friday was a plain old working day, but had a lovely dinner with the whole family at an Indonesian restaurant near the Feijenoord football stadium.
As I was driving my mum and grandson, of course I spent the evening drinking the clear colourless stuff that comes out of a tap...yes they sell it to you in a
bottle....but who believes in fairy tales ?
Anyway time to read my fanmail now and have a sip of some real drinking stuff.

The RV-8 cutaway is the first of a series of cutaways I am doing for RV enthusiasts. It's a wonderful gig since I don't have to deal with corporate structure. Simply communicate with owner's of these aircraft, then put all the information in an illustration and produce high-res top quality prints. So far, I've completed the RV-8, RV-8A and two "custom" cutaways of specific owner's planes. Currently, I'm 10 days into creating a cutaway of an RV-7 and -7A. It's especially fun because Van's Aircraft Company, the manufacturer of these aircraft, is based at the airport where I hang out for therapy.

Speaking of planes, on the back burner is the desire to do an ultra detailed cutaway of my favorite plane, the wonderful Spitfire. I plan to go to England for this project so.... Tony - if you are reading this, could you put a beer in the fridge for me?

which makes you wonder...do many chickens cross roads ?
do many small planes always fly over roads frequently crossed by chickens?
is it always the same road chickens cross? .........if so, we might set up a barbecue closeby

if so many road-crossing-chickens end up hanging on the pitot tubes of small planes, then the answers to the question
on the "why did the chicken cross the road" thread.. are all wrong !
