I posted the following in the paddock club first, but could not get an answer, then it was suggested to post it here:

Sorry to bother the community about this, but i cant find an answer anywhere...
I have this DVD english coverage of 1990 WSPC Donington Park race. In the upper left corner, the tv station's logo shows a white "S" inside a yellow and red losange (the losange is splitted vertically and the left part is yellow while the right part is red).
Can anyone tell me what tv coverage that was ?
Thanks in advance!
Robert

I would very much like to know it
Thanks!
It may have been Screensport. When I first had satellite TV in 1990/91, there was so much racing on that channel, of all types, from all around the world. The quality of presentation was generally pretty good too. Sadly, within a year or two it had gone, ostensibly merged with Eurosport, I think, but the racing coverage was gone.

If the logo is the same as what's shown in this screenshot, then yeah, it's Screensport

Screensport! Yes, that was it - it was on the tip of my tongue but I could not bring it out of the memory banks. There's a Murdoch connection there somewhere, because he had a stake in Eurosport before he bought Sky TV (which was originally a private venture and broadcasting illegally IIRC).
edit: It was actually owned by WH Smith. Here's a link to all the Screensport channel idents -

I was starting to wonder....
the question posed was about a red and yellow lozenge
and up comes the answer....except its blue and purple ?
I don't think its a tv channel logo, rather a video company logo
that sells sports dvds.

http://www.tv-ark.org.uk/otherchannels/screensport.html Bit confused there.Murdoch started Sky TV and had an interest in Eurosport. He then bought the rival BSB satellite firm(Remember the squarial?)which came with its own sports channel which became Skysports. He was then forced to sell his interest in Eurosport which temporarily closed down.Eurosport later took over Screensport and DSF started.

If it helps, I am almost certain that the 1990 Group C race at Donington was covered live at times by the Beeb with Murray Walker and (I think) Will Hoy commentating. I was at the circuit but have this recollection of Murray finding a 1000 K race a rather different proposition from a GP. So the pictures with the logo are almost certainly from a video of the TV coverage.

Yes,the message 'This has been a presentation of Diemond Sports'seems to ring a bell.

Ian - a very warm welcome to TNF.
With all that you have seen and (presumably) enjoyed in and around the sport, I always imagined this would be an ideal place for you to spend a little time!
I'm sure you have a vast fund of shared experiences with many of the Brits here (and of course, Autosport readers of yore).
