I am considering going to Goodwood this year, probably the Festival. What is the best day to go - Friday / Saturday / Sunday. Also, what is the day like, is it best to just walk around different places, or is it worth going for grandstand tickets?
Basically, any tips / advice etc would be greatfully received!

Many thanks.

I'm going to the festival for the first time too. I asked the guys in the Nostalgia Forum who gave some excellent advice. I'm going general admission. Just follow the link:

Many thanks, I missed the other thread!

Will be there on Sunday.

I'm going Saturday and Sunday. There were murmurs of a get-together over on the Nostalgia Forum but nothing concrete yet.

My advice is to get there early !!

Concentrate on the Paddocks and then install yourself somewhere on the hill towards the end of a run and then squeeze in for a good view for a complete run - I watched from opposite Goodwood House where various demo burnouts take place - also at left hander after the House where even the Great & the Good make mistakes

I found that moving around on the Sunday was difficult due to the crowds - what will Mansellmania bring this year ??!!

Have good time
