I noticed that Doug Nye contributed an article to AtlasF1. Has AtlasF1 risen so high or has Doug sunken so low? Just kidding! Don't suppose we could get him on the BB to discuss his latest projects. I for one have purchase a number of his books including his great History of the Grand Prix Car series which btw could use an update!

by the way, to clear up about the source for Doug's articles:

These are not really PR articles at all. McLaren has a private inside-factory magazine called Racing Line (also sent to those who are members of the McLaren club, or whatever it's called). It is in fact one of the best racing magazines around, by far and large, even if it only covers one team's doings.

This magazine is intended to "remind" every worker and member of McLaren where he\she works or follows, what heritage it holds and also keep him\her in touch with what goes on with the team and its current stars around the world.

Anyway, about a year ago, I called the TAG-McLaren communications office and requested permission to republish articles that appear in that magazine. They kindly agreed and those articles, which are also available at the McLaren website, now appear - some of them - on Atlas F1.

Last year, there was an article about Ayrton Senna's last win for McLaren (and his last win ever); I still rate this as one of the best, most touching articles I ever read. Those who missed it can find it here.

Great – First a controversy (Book Reviews) now a mystery. I wonder which one of us is actually Doug Nye in real life?

OK, OK... If you must know I'm really Carol Burnett and in between tired TV programs with the same old washed-up comedians I'm really mad for Finish drivers who know how to cry!

I never was a big Ayrton Senna fan, but that was a most interesting read thanks for sharing the link Bira.

Old threads never die they just 'mature' like fine wine I suppose :-)

Twinny - re recent triple PM, I was just fascinated - and eager - to hear the response. Re this thread - what's the point exactly?

Homage, perhaps? It was started a fair while back.

I'm not sure chap, but it's certainly not being derogatory... wink.gif

Why don't you transfer all of the Blood Pressure thread over to this one Twinny, that way we will all know who to blame?! smile.gif
