Well as a Ferrari fan I was obviously delighted with the 1-2 at Indy. However does it mean I think we'll win either championship? Probably not, but the season could do with a little competition...although I didn't think the same in 2002 or 2004, so I can forgive Renault and Alonso fans for disagreeing

A clarification:
fullcourseyellow, who as you will know is amongst the leading bunch, submitted his entry to the USA round about half an hour after FP1 first started.

Having investigated this, I have decided to include his entry for a couple of reasons.

Firstly, some slack has been allowed in the past to others. This will be touched on further down.

Secondly, having looked at his guesses in light of the first 20m of FP1, they certainly don't seem influenced by any of the actual action. Had his guesses suddenly been msch/mass then it may have been a different story.

Which is kinda like how if MS had actually crashed at Monaco no one would have said anything

But here this:

FROM NOW ON, NO SLACK WILL BE ALLOWED ON TIMING. IF YOU POST 1 MINUTE PAST THE START OF FREE PRACTISE, YOU'RE ASS IS TO THE CURB.

I support the idea of different people and different curcumstances, "no tollerance" policies suck and are for people who can't think. If someone has been playing for years and then is a little late, I agree they should be counted (maybe at a 5 point penalty?). Sometimes people are traveling or just forget. If someone does it more than once or twice then no, but come on, let's be smart about it. Maybe each competitor gets 2 free passes, then that's it. Maybe put a time limit on how late they can be to use the free pass. Hell, nothing happens between the race drivers on FFP anyway.

Just my 2 cents.

Well...its fine with me...a little discretion once in a while...we are all a competitive but friendly bunch, isn't it?
