They work fine here, Barry -
two thumnails as links to pics at Imageshack.
What do you see?
Or do you have a problem with the content?!
Hmm... thanks. I'll investigate.
What systems and browsers are you on?
I've edited those, but now I see underscored urls rather than thumbnails.
Do they work for you?
They are each around 600 or 700 KB - a famous early 70s Grand prix car.
Thanks Stuart -
I've deleted them from above; although not massive, they'd be too big for some folk and slow the thread down.
I've had trouble getting the thumbnails up in the past and settled for the hyperlinks.
The annoying thing is that here in "OSX-Safariland" it all works perfectly!
I'll do as you suggest... and hope to God
someone thinks they were worth the effort!
Finally, my two troublesome Brabham pics.
From memory Andrew, the car looked authentically as it did in '71 - so no, the onscreen colours seen here are not right.
(But then, they've been scanned from cheap enprints, converted to cmyk on a previous system and monitor, tweaked for separated out-put, resaved as jpegs, hue contrast and sharpness tweaked again, converted back to rgb...

I don't mind at all Andrew - I've been a bit too busy to sort them out properly myself; having found the prints I just dug out the old scans, which clearly didn't suit this purpose so well. I recall Ean Pugh having the car in entirely the correct colours.
There was a time when it was not uncommon to share the circuit with such machinery on an enthusiasts' trackday - rather less likely now. Having dug out the negatives, I think I have the venue wrong... I believe both shots were taken at Pau-Arnos.

Pic was taken 35-37 years ago, Michael's distinctive eyebrows and jawline appear to be there - he was a young man - and compared to me he was SLIM...

The Ian Walker car is a spaceframe Lotus 22 - not the following year's monocoque Type 27. Lovely nostalgic photo, though. It's so nice to see cars in open paddocks instead of being caged in soulless, characterless lock-ups.

That's a splendid photo of Lauda in the car. Sharp, perfect dof and exposure. It looks like it could have been taken yesterday instead of 30 years ago.

Sorry cant help with that one ,however the chap over Graham left shoulder i a young Sid Taylor.

Power was supplied by a 354ci Chrysler Hemi, with a front-mounted GMC blower connected by a Potvin drive. This fed back through a Schaeffer clutch to a '39 Ford gearbox. Although not clear in the photos the car featured front disc brakes as these were required by the RAC regulations.
Quite what the BOC thought of it one can only wonder
Thanks dwall....A dragster Amazing .

It looks like the TS14 to me even though it was launched until the next GP in Italy. The radiators and tank filled the underwind area unlike the TS-9b, which was rather uncluttered in the area above the gearbox. :\ However i have been known to make mistakes.

Allen ,I no my memory is not the best ,having been with the team that year we were told it was a Bernard design. John spent time with the Rebaque family and team off and on that season and i believe this to be true. Penske where the builders. And yes it did have a Lotus and Williams look about it.

And he has extra ducting into the cockpit amazing.Or was it a 70's areo package(as they call today) to create midcar downforce.

All of the Jackie Epstein ShellSPORT Lolas (3) received the same treatment not long after they had been delivered. Never understood why and it rather ruined the initial paint and sign-writing job in my view.
Thanks for the reply.MCS.......They went to a lot of trouble for some reason!
