FIA should commision the helmet cam for TV views IMO, gives a great sensation of how hard the driver has to work and the g forces involved.
Even tho its only an installation lap its great to watch alonso- so smooth on the brakes and great use of engine braking into the faster corners.

The fact that two team cars swapped places on the last corner of the race.
I believe a few years later that caused some controversy when another team did it.

Yes Senna gifted Berger a win. But was it early in the season? Was the Championship decided?

Don't compare it with Austrian GP. It's opposite story.
But you can compare it very much with US GP. And Schumacher/Ferrari were criticised heavily for making a comedy out of F1

Ummm, accept they were trying to organise a "dead heat" (an unbeleivably dumb thing to do given the electronic timing systems that had been in place for the LAST TWO AND A HALF DECADES).
Senna simply gave Berger a win after his championship was won as a thankyou for being a good team-mate. The same happened with Mansell and Patrese IIRC.

So sad....a question for any Marshals....there seemed to be a cast of thousands out there very quick moving towards Sennas car...including a waved Yellow covering the throng.....
So, Yellow on Drivers left before the incident and Waved Yellow closer to the incident.....
Was this spontaneous (Marshals judgement, prerogative) or was it under instructions from Race Control ???
RIP Ayrton

I'm not quite sure I understand the question.
Marshals can't touch an injured driver. The best they could do for him at that point was to make sure he didn't burn and to make sure that the car wasn't struck.

Drama at the 1989 Adelaide F1 GP - Part 1
Great clips here with all the pre race drama and protests from drivers not wanting to start because of the track conditions.
Classic F1 political farce.

Senna was the greatest ever racing driver that ever lived in my opinion.
The following video is the reason why I never liked Schumacher, he is the worse sportsman ever.
What you are about to see is disgusting..

Rob, I think you have bee misled. No one knew that Senna was dead, untill long after the race was over.
Bernie knew but, he didn't tell anyone.

Please do not try to justify his action. I know exactly how the events played out. Schumacher saw the accident in front of his eyes. He didn’t know Senna had died but he knew that as a result of the accident was in critical condition. But despite of all of that, another driver had died during qualifying the day before. After two tragedies of this magnitude how could he have the nerve to celebrate a victory.

to be fair, they didn't know anything concrete about senna's condition until after the race and even then there was rumours flying about, but the podium bit is a bit confusing.

You are missing the point. Even if Senna would have survived his actions are not justified. He saw the ambulance and paramedics removing the body on the next few laps. This only demonstrates that MS is someone who only cares about himself and his success at all costs. The day before Ratzenberger had a fatal accident, what about that.
Well this has been discussed ad nauseam Robnyc, you think of it your way and others see it rather differently.
Most of all this video contributes fuck all to a thread where people come to find video gems of F1 racing.
This one only serves to stirr shit and further your own agenda.
case closed.

I am sorry to disappoint you but tragedy was part of Formula One and sportsmanship and ethics are as well. This video was posted by me to demonstrate the lack of both by MS. We can disagree that is ok. If you justify the actions on this video it must be because we come from two completely different worlds.
Now is case closed.

I understand this video not being funny to you since perhaps your idol is getting a slap in the face by the most intrepid driver in F1 since Senna and JV.
Yawn, but on the other hand you are funny as hell

Remind me who qualified ahead of Montoya? perhaps if Montoya had done his talking on the track he would not of had this problem.
Also please remind me who won the race?

who the hell cares. That is not the point of the video. The point is MS lying in the press-conference (like usual) and Monty calling him stupid or liar for trying to full everyone while the camera video show something else.

Well done Monty for calling Schumi names, I'm sure he lost a lot of sleep over it and thought about it he was drinking his victory champagne on the podium.

It wasn;t for Shumi dude. It was for everyone else who was watching. That guy had balls, look at how he had everyone there laughing. That was classic..

Feb 23 2007, 16:49
Yea, he maybe had balls but unfortunatly they were where his brain should of been. If he could drive as good as he could crack a joke then maybe he wouldn't of been sacked by Mclaren.
Any way good for him at least he made some people laugh during his short short time in F1, what a way to be remembered. :\

Again you are side tracking from the actual point of the video. Why are you brining all of this up? If you want to discuss the video how about discussing Michael's tendancy for lying to reporters and competitors as proven here.
Does anyone have the videos of 2001 F3000 races? Like, Wilson spinning after the chequered flag at Interlagos, or Webber (?) dropping the cup in the podium ceremony at Imola?
