Hello :

First of all .. pardon the ignorance.
I gave up on these games some years ago since I never had the time to play them sad.gif

Now, with the 360, PS3 and WII, I would like to try and get into them for real.

I refuse to get the Micorosft product, so the choice is between a Sony and the WII ? If the WII cannot or will not have F1 games, then the choice is clearer.

So .. will the WII have an F1 or ChampCar game ?

Thanks !!

Since Sony has an exclusive licence I doubt there will be F1 game for the Wii
The Kanisteri
Maybe Super Mario F1 lol.gif

Memorable quote from Cars (by IMDB)
Luigi: Luigi follow only the Ferrari's!

So, I will have to get a Sony, eh ?
OK.
As long as it is not the X-BOX.

Thanks for the news.

F1 is probably out of the question due to the licence Sony has, as allready mentioned...

Not sure how driving games will work with the original wii controler though, but perhaps there will be a wheel & pedals set to it if they release a driving game/sim. The controller is excelent fun when you try out the Wii sports game (bowling and golf where pretty cool) smile.gif

If F1 is the killer game for you than there is no other platform than Sony Playstation.

But if you want awesome racing, XBox certainly can hold it's own or even edge the Sony offer off, from what I hear.

Sony is equally evil to Microsoft, if that is what's limiting your choice, so go with the one that holds your games.

There is at least one racing game that I know of for Wii, and they were planning a steering wheel adaptor for that controller for the driving games.

Please stay away from that crap.

If you want racing games you will have to go with either a Xbox 360 or PS3. Nintendo never has great racing games with real cars etc for their consoles unfortunatly.

Ofcourse Mario kart rocks but not really a realistic game.

It's a shame that it seems to be a bad game.

The Good: The included steering wheel could be useful for other racing games; dozens of licensed cars.
The Bad: Ugly graphics; poor sound effects and awful music; the few generic tracks in the game get old quickly; controls feel loose and unresponsive.

Never got on with that game, probably 'cos I like "proper" racing games. It was always interesting to watch me and a Uni mate race on that game, I would try to do the proper racing line, etc and forget about the weapons and he would play the game properly. I think it worked out evens, with me just about in the lead when I remembered that I could drop a banana skin on the ground.

Steve.
