Hello All,

I'll be visiting from the US to Germany, Belgium and France this June/July, and hope to make it to the French Grand Prix on June 30 - July 1. We'll start our trip in Munich (picking up a new BMW), work our way up to Brussels (via the Nurburgring!), and then down to Paris. I plan to droff off the car for shipment home upon arrival in Paris, as I'd just as soon not deal with the traffic there. Also, the insurance costs go up dramatically if I keep the car through the race weekend. I have two daughters who aren't interested in the race and will spend those days with friends in Paris -- I do want to be back with them at night, and so need to travel back and forth for the weekend rather than staying near the circuit on Saturday night.

Does anyone have experience commuting daily to the race via train from Paris? The return timing looks tight, with the last departure from Nevers leaving at approx. 5:45pm vs. a 2:00pm race start. Would there be sufficient time to get from the circuit to the station?

I've seen references to a shuttle bus from the train station in Nevers to the circuit, but a link or definitive information would be appreciated.

I have also been looking for a bus/coach and ticket package running from Paris, but haven't had any luck. Does such a thing exist?

Thanks in advance for any information or suggestions.

Regards.
Zingman

It is definatley not an option...Honest !
The only option open to you on race weekend would be by helicopter or motorbike....
the track is in the middle of France's farm land !! I was there 2006 race.
Have a look on Google earth.....Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. frown.gif
