Perhaps John Medley can add more about the Porsche, and also that wire wheel to the right under what appears to be a DB3S guard. And is that a D-type in the foreground?

Not sure what the wire wheel is attached to but the program does list two "Austin Martin"s [sic]!!!!Originally posted by Ray Bell

I think that the car in the foreground is probably Derek's Lotus XV.

Patrick...a vertical brace on the trailer is making the 63 into the 68....probably no change in number.

Sorry, my typo. The spelling on the trailer is correct - even the spelling in the Program is correct.
(I've edited my original post so that the spelling doesn't get perpetuated!)

I dread the thought of all the great history being lost!
I heard a story of a guy cleaning up his late fathers house and throwing out
hundreds of slides........

That's why I decided to start building the history of Collingrove hillclimb.
The only problem is I keep finding more great storys and photos of the characters and then
feel I should do a quick run down on them!
My project just gets bigger!!!!

Is this the Derek Jolly car at that meeting?
I think we could have bumped into each other!
The start of a sports car race - looks like the Jag C-type that you took in the pits.
Added this one because it appeals to me!
I lived in Orange in those days - now (and since 1968) in your home town. Small world.
Please keep posting the brilliant pictures.

That would be in Racing Car News, I would expect...
And 'J Malcolm' was John Malcolm who had a workshop in Newtown for many years.

I purchased the Blanden book which had a photo from Rob Roy.

I wish the climax engine was not robbed to build the Mk2........

her fathers life.

Quote: Not Doretti, Grab handle wrong, Drums are not right, Windscreen lays flat, Curve down at front and rear guards too sharp, But, spare wheel in boot lies same angle as Doretti, guards look familiar. Who knows? has been cut around so much.
Yes P4, but one in background too small for A40, Suicide doors, is it continental? like Fiat, Renault or Citroen?
In foreground, large centre piece to spokes, suggest 1930's period, distance from radiator to front of gearbox very tiny, 2 cylinder space? Jowett? or Bradford? Obviously special.
