I myself own and drive a Marcos V8. All the history files tell that Jackie Stewart started his career in a Marcos Xylon also known as "Ugly Duckly". He did win the championship with this car and the Marcos did win every race in this year, every race set the quickest lap time and beside of 2 races the Marcos was every race on pole position. The reg-no. is G-128 and the car seems to be in the Netherlands in the moment. Jem Marsh - owner of Marcos in these days - did race as well the car later in historic racing with great success.
I never saw a picture of Marcos & Jackie Stewart as well can not find the race results. A friend of mine is restauring Derek Bell´s Marcos Fastback in the moment and Derek as well started his career in a Marcos the same Dr. Jonathan Palmer.
Would be great to get some pics & race infos from the early Marcos (Xylon, Ugly Duckly, Gullwing & Fastback). The Gullwing and the Fastbacks raced in Spa and Nürburgring in long distance races in 63 & 64.
