Has anyon tried the full version? I tried the demo, and that was one of the worst Rally-games I've ever played. So, with that in mind I've been quite suprised by some of the reviews its gotten. Codemasters did state that the demo "does not represent the final experience". So, is the full version that much better? I like the idea of a Rally-game. But not if it's as bad as the Dirt demo. Any ideas?

If your looking for a SIMULATOR, this is not your game.

However if you are looking for a game that is very fast paced, a mix of arcade AND a simulator, GREAT graphics and a tremendous feeling of speed... give it a shot.

I personally really liked the Demo, but I was never expecting a Rally simulator, just a fun game that had some decent physics and plenty of damage modeling. Oh and it had to push the graphics envelope of the racing games.

Dirt has all that I expected. The multiplayer is a HUGE disappointment though, but I bought the full game anyways. Im enjoying the singleplayer career currently, and there seems to be quite a lot of playability on it.

So in otherwords, if your looking for a TRUE simulator, not a great looking and a little bit arcade racer, this is not your game. If your looking for what the Colin McRaes have pretty much always been, a good mix of arcade and simulation, buy it.

It's very arcadish and don't play it straight after Forza 2 because there is a huge difference between 30 and 60 fps!

It's also incredibly arcadey.

Having said all that, it's brilliant fun, really, really superb, and graphically it's excellent. More fun than Forza 2? Shhh, don't tell anyone I said that.

It must be said though that multiplayer is a pile of cack. We could get a more involved series going here on this BB without expending any effort whatsoever than we could on X-Box live. Valen, if you want an offline championship, this is the one we go with.

Also, lack of hotseat mode, in a rally game, is an unforgivable sin. I used to love playing earlier versions of Colin on a console with five or six mates, all of us taking turns to do our runs. That was great, but you can't do it of Dirt. Shameful. Hell, even Network Q Rally Championship back in 1995 had it . . .

If you want to go on rallying, get copy of Richard Burns (rip) Rally.
