Vettel is a very slow F1 driver, looks like a career down the drain and a quick dismissal in the offing. Very very poor, languishing 30 secs behind down.gif down.gif down.gif the supposedly rubbish Liuzzi.

Massa shows who is the boss at Ferrari, very good race up.gif up.gif up.gif Raikkonen embaressed by his poor level of ability compared to Massa as evidenced by his slow lap on fumes in qualifying.

Rosberg again shows he is a superstar consistantly up the front in the box on wheels Williams clap.gif clap.gif clap.gif You'd forgot Williams has such wild incosistency in the cars performance track to track, if Rosberg's cool and stunning consistency was what evidence you had to go by. A $20 m p/a contract will be prepared by some works team for him. biggrin.gif

RBR reliability is very interesting and provides good entertainment, good on them clap.gif up.gif

Super race from Heidfeld also clap.gif clap.gif clap.gif

Too bad he is too good qualifier and he usually goes backwards in the race because of that.

Hamilton had good race pace for once. He was able to match Alonso which is a great effort. Time will tell if he can do it consistenly or just once in a blue moon like Fisi did. I doubt he was as embarresed as Hamilton was at Hungary with his win bought and paid for by his British connection.

Class! I think you'll find he usually has "good race pace", it's just this time you can't find an excuse for why Fred wasn't quicker. It would have been interesting to see them both with the same fuel loads.

Ferrari could offer a test role perhaps, provided the salary demands were reasonable? smile.gif

The WC is setting up very nicely indeed with Ferrari being able to 1-2 every single race for the rest of the year because the tracks will suit them. Could end up a 4 way battle by the end.

They were on the same fuel loads give or take a single lap, which is no point arguing over unless we find out the exact data which we wont probably.

As much as I like Nascar, it goes too far the other way. Passes are meaningless because they're too easy at most circuits.

If you're referring to Nascar road racing, that's superb, would be better if they learned what a local yellow was. If this race had been nascar we'd have had full course cautions for Trulli, Hamilton, probably Webber...

that is very true also, can't argue with it. up.gif

So why exactly? After lap 10 or so, he was faster than his teammate, even when Kova was asked to speed up. But I do agree he better leave Renault, this team is awful for him.

Fred came in the lap Lewis had his puncture - one lap after Massa. Dennis has just confirmed that Hamilton was fuelled for another FOUR laps. That seems to tell us a lot about their ultimate pace.

Who do you think is clamouring for his services?

He's behind a rookie in the championship.

Mclaren feared a SC and brought Alonso in early once Hamilton punctured. ITV stated this. So we really dont know their exact fuel levels.

Where is all so called "super starts" by Alonso in 2005 and 2006? Today his start is really poor. This is why he so far LH behind at one point. He is quite lucky today to get 3rd.

LH has a bad luck but has luckily limited his damage. Overall, he has a great race.

Great race from Massa! up.gif up.gif. Kimi up.gif (race), down.gif (quali)

Ferrari 1-2 up.gif up.gif

Good race from NH, HK and NR up.gif.

Dream on Arrow.

Lewis seemed to have about a thrid of a second a lap all weekend in my opinion - as in Hungary interestingly. I think he has raised his game up to another level post Silverstone and Fred is struggling to match it. I would however expect Fred to have the edge in the closing three flyaway races which could now be crucial given Lewis's bad luck in two fo the last three weekends.

ITV shows F1 in Canada, RTX?

Hamilton= Lucky guy

Alonso= Very very lucky guy, dude you need to make a better performance if you wanna win the championship.

Massa seems to have learned a lesson from MS on how to control a race, and be fast only when it really matters.

I do not buy that either, you do not let the rival close up on you like that just before pit stops if you have pace in reserve. Massa was quick enough to hold Räikkönen at bay but he was not quick enough to toy with Räikkönen as you suggest. The closing laps probably mean little, as I'd gather Ferrari froze the race it as they should.

as KR mentioned during the PC, his race was determined by the outcome of qualifying. pity about his understeer problems (or errors, if you like) in Q3. everything is SO technical these days.

if there were team orders at Ferrari, I think that it was wise of them, given the WDC and WCC situations.

a remarkable race in terms out how few driving errors (given the anti-clockwise layout; and particularly given the G-forces of left-hander, Turn 8), and how few retirements.

RK moving backwards over the course of the race. I imagine that we'll hear more about this.

Im not dreaming, it was actually reported on ITV. Hamilton did a better lap in q3 but in the first two sessions he was slower and in the race no faster so your third of a second is just wishful thinking. You are just upset over his race today but Alonso has had his share of bad luck this year already.

I wonder why so many KR fans seek solace in riddiculus excuses. KR was beaten this wkd in almost the same way FM lost in France. Get over it--FM beat him quali, beat him in the race; fair and square. No need to expand the Why KR is not trashing FM book of excuses. cool.gif

Alonso was very disappointing this weekend, a lot slower than Hamilton who was threatening the Ferraris without his blown tyre. The team will be disappointed in him, they gave him a great car and Alonso gives nothing in return.

It's not unlikely that Massa controlled the pace at the front. What's the point of running ragged if you know a certain pace will hold status quo?

I'm sure Felipe had pace in store, just like Raikkonen did. I can't see that Massa was running flat out, just to keep Kimi behind.

KR says he is bored driving behind other cars? Well aren't we all?

That depends on the question. He obviously explained Hamiltons situation and thats all. As I said it was reported by Cravitz that Mclaren brought Alonso in early because they feared a SC and Ron did not deny this as you first claimed.

You probably didnt have access to live timing. Alonso gained about 2 seconds on Hamilton in that second stint but for the most part they were even in pace.
Fortymark
We need more overtaking, the front runners are too close
or have too good handling.
There´s usually a good amount of overtaking down the field.
Like with the Hondas and with Trulli.

Dennis: ''The points are important nontheless.''

Domenicali: ''The victory was important for us. With five races still to go there's a big challenge in front of us.''

Rosberg: ''It was a superb race for me.''

boring race.

Massa and Kimi up.gif up.gif up.gif similar performance, were never troubled the entire race, both of them. and kimi again setting the fastest lap.

Alonso down.gif lucky to be 3rd, started like kimi in the first races, couldn't pressure nick, had no pace.

Hamilton up.gif 3rd place would be fully deserved, was the only one near the ferraris

Kubica down.gif terrible strategy

Kovalainen up.gif good strategy and pace

Alonso was nowhere, far behind and a lot of this is down to his tyre choice in Q3. Hamilton did a much, much better job this weekend, harassing the Ferraris all the way. For someone who demands firm #1 status within the team, this is quite embarrassing.
Johny Bravo
Kimi showed with his fastest lap he had pace. Unfortunately for him he was a full day late with it as Q3 was over already. He needs to master Q3 if he want's to win.

Felipe was just flawless.

And Ferrari put both cars well together for once.

Had it not been for his tyre failure Hamilton would have finished ahead of Fred again. Hamilton is not having any luck and is still leading the championship :-D.
I predict that at Spa Hamilton will really shine and put Alonso in his place.

Yeh his final run of qualifying was costly but being stuck behind the BMWs is why he was 'nowhere'. You made a false statement about him being 'much slower' than Lewis and you have been corrected.

Great race for Ferrari. up.gif up.gif Five more 1-2's like this will do their Championship aspirations no harm at all. smile.gif

Bad luck for Lewis Hamilton getting the puncture, but it could have been so much worse. He just lost three points when it could have resulted in a DNF and no points. And more importantly Lewis now appears to have got the measure of Alonso...faster in qualifying, faster off the start line, faster in the race... stoned.gif

I didn't claim Dennis denied there was a change of strategy.
This whole chanage_of_strategy thing is at best based on unsubstantiated claim made by ITV i.e. very weak claim...

Question: are cars that qualify outside the top ten allowed to refuel before the race? If not, I think that Davidson's qualifying performance was stupendous, given how long he ran in the first stint. Actually, I think his performance in both qualifying and in the race was pretty stupendous anyway up.gif
