------------------------------------------
Remember to consider the whole weekend, not just the race. Also remember that it's the driver's performance that should be rated, not the car's.
------------------------------------------
Step 1 - GP takes place & voting opens
Step 2 - Everybody votes according to these rules:

* You can give a driver either three, two or one point. (Or zero, which is default.)

* You can distribute no more than ten points (but less if you want to).

* You need to vote for at least two drivers.

If I feel you are simply voting for the fav driver each time I'll put you on the ignore list for a while. (I won't be voting myself, to make it fairer). Motivating your own and politely discussing other peoples votes is fine, but ridiculing other people's votes will get you ignored. Posts should be along the lines of:

...3 points: the driver/s you think did the best job during the weekend
...2 points: the next best ones
...1 point: the ones after that

Make it clear which driver you mean. Votes that are too unspecific will be ignored.

Step 3- Voting will close in about a week

Step 4 - I'll add up the total number of votes. This will produce a 'race result'. Should drivers have the same voting score then I will split them by who has had the most Top Votes. If that fails then in reversed race result order.

Step 5 - The drivers will then be awarded championship points on a 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 system.

Rate the race
------------------------------------------
Please rate the race from 0-10, using the following guide.

Quality of race
This should be a reflection of how good the race was, not how much you liked the results. Please don't give it a one or two just because driver X failed to win the championship. Think about how much it had your pulse racing and you guessing at what the end result was going to be. Use the guide below to help, and think carefully. Try to compare it not just to the last few races, but all the grand prix you've ever watched. Votes of 9 and 10 should be quite rare.

10 The best race I've ever seen
9 Contender for the best race of the last few seasons
8 Contender for the best race of the season
7 Brilliant race, I was on the edge of my seat for a lot of the race
6 Better than average, more than a few on the edge the seat moments
5 An average race, nothing spectacular but worth watching
4 Below average, too few exciting moments
3 Well, there was one or two moments of interest
2 That was completely predictable
1 I struggled to watch it all the way through
0 I slept through most of it

Satisfaction with the results
Please also rate the race in terms of how satisfied you are with the results. This one
should be based on if driver X wins the championship or not! Also factors such controversy
over DQ's that sour the event should be considered.

10 All the right results, and done with style
9 All the right results, if not in the best manner
8 Mostly the right results
7 Mostly the right results with a bit of luck
6 Some of drivers/teams I liked did well
5 Neither happy nor sad with the results
4 My likes didn't quite manage to do well
3 My likes did quite badly
2 My likes did quite badly and my dislikes did good
1 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well but I'll give them credit for doing it well
0 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well and the right ones did badly

Note: people who are on the Voting Championship ignore list can still participate in Rate the race.

Hamilton 2 - Class of the field, much faster than everyone else, was even comfortable against his supposedly "rainmeister" team-mate. Great win.

Webber 2 - How unlucky can you be?! This guy is reaching Chris Amon levels, almost every great race he does, he retires. Sensational race before being pushed off by Vettel.

Kovalainen 2 - Benefitted a bit from strategy, but still ended in 2nd place, after starting in 11th with a midfielder car, setup for the dry! Did well to defend himself from Kimi at the end too. Excellent drive.

Vettel 1 - Up until that 2nd safety car period, it had been a perfect weekend. Qualified an incredible 8th, survived the initial mess in the rain to temporarily take the lead, and after the pitstops was 3rd on merit. All this with a Toro Rosso! I was already thinking of awarding him with 3 points in here, when he completely ruined both his and Webber's race with a silly mistake. Gets away with 1 point.

Raikkonen 1 - A bit erratic with too many offs, but never lost too much time with them, and still managed to make quite a recovery from 21st to 3rd. Great pass on the outside of Coulthard at the 100R.

Sutil 1 - Keeps on putting that car above where it belongs, and ended up scoring a point even if he obviously benefited of all the retirements, collisions, spins, etc. This guy deserves a chance in a better car.

Button 1 - Mostly for his awesome qualifying effort which got him 6th place in the grid (as Rosberg changed his engine). He ruined his race right after the start by colliding into Heidfeld, but it was still pretty impressive how he managed to keep a good position for several laps, with his front wing completely ripped off.

---------------------------

Quality 8 - Two things stopped me from awarding it a 10: the bizarre 19 laps safety car at the beginning, and the fact that we didn't really have a fight for the lead once things settled. Otherwise, great race.

Satisfaction 3 - The result effectively killed the WDC, which was shaping itself nicely to an entertaining finale in Brazil. At least Kimi still has mathematical chances (which realistically, are insignificant), and I really liked to see Kova in the podium and Sutil in the points.

I'd say because we sometimes watch F1 races that are almost as boring as the first 19 laps of Fuji - but without the safety car. And these races usually get a 3 or 4 grade. Atleast with Fuji we got 45+ laps of great action.
