I've downloaded the online manual, but that just tells me about driving, not how to do stuff outside the original game.........so how do I change/save/apply set-ups? How do I download/save apply new circuits? I want to try driving '65 cars round Goodwood and the 'Ring.
How easy/difficult is it to change car colours ("skins"?)?
All advice greatfully received! I've come late to this, but want to get into it properly. (if anyone has good files they could send, please PM me for my e-mail address)

Welcome to GPL, you'll be just in time for the long-awaited 66 mod
Setups - when you first load a track, on bottom of screen click on "CAR SETUP". There are two screens to change data from. On top left you can select saved setups from pull-down next to "RACE" or "CURRENT". RACE = the setup that will automatically load every time you load the current track. "SAVE AS" is at bottom of screen, suggest you save one with any file name (e.g. temp), then exit GPL, then open Windows Explorer and select your install folder (C: \SIERRA\GPL ?) then players folder then the folder of your player name then the track you just used. You should see your new "temp.***" setup here. And this is where you paste any other setups you download. The three letter file extension changes depending on the car.
Tracks - most downloadable tracks have a installer file, you just select your GPL install folder (C: \SIERRA\GPL ?) and click OK. You may need to add tracks to season file by using GEM+. (I assume you have managed to get GEM+ working ?)
For 65 mod suggest you create a new player, perhaps by appending "65" on the first name or surname of your current driver. Note that default 65 mod setups may have incorrect gearing, suggest you search for a 65 setups pack (perhaps here :
http://forum.rscnet.org/showthread.php?t=193844 ). For a newbie I suggest unclicking the "asymetric" setting, and for 65s try setting diff to 60/30:2, when you are getting more confident try more responsive 45/45:2 or 30/60:2 etc.
