You can contact him at the telephone number listed on that site or you may be able to find an email address there instead. Let us know what you find. You have stimulated my curiosity as well, especially since we had a board track in my area (Kansas City) back in the 1920's.

I have a few photos of stock cars at the San Carlos board track and, about ten years ago, contacted a man who drove what could be called a track roadster at Charlotte. I also have stock car photos from Rockingham---these are fairly common.

Information from AAA Contest Board Official Bulletin, Vol. II, No. 16, 9 September 1927
Three events:
First race, 25-mile event for 4-cylinder cars, won by Earl Vince, Dodge -- entered by AC Speedway
Second race, 75-mile event for 6-cylinder cars, won by Ralph Hepburn, Studebaker Commander -- entered by Studebaker Company
Third race, 150-mile Free-for-All, won by Tom Rooney, Stutz -- entered by Stutz Company
There is other information contained in the three pages of the Bulletin that I will try to post soon.

It may take some time, however, as I am busy as hell at the moment.

Twinny, since the original thread is dated should we change the name or perhaps combine with one more appropriate? This topic is very entertaining.
