From Penthouse magazine.
This guy is a real peice of work...

What is the dumbest thing you ever said to a woman in
bed?

Tomas: "This is your sister's favorite position as
well."

What was the worst thing you ever spent money on?

Tomas: I bought a Ferrari and sold it after a week. I
just hated it. I think Ferraris are for old men who
want to get laid by girls who are 20 years younger.
Maybe one day I'll want that, but just not right now.

What's the most interesting conversation you've had
with your team during a race?

Tomas: When I started singing to them on the radio,
"I got ho's in different area codes."

When was the last time you learned something intimate
about women?

Tomas: One of my friends once asked me how I know
when a woman has had an orgasm. I said, "You can
tell by the way her body moves." He said, "I have a
fool- proof method. Give the girl a kiss on the lips,
and if her lips are cold she has had an orgasm."

What's the story with you always going to chick
flicks?

Tomas: I always find myself having to go to chick
flicks. I don't know why. Every time I leave I say,
"That's the last time," and I always get sucked into
doing it again.

What do you guys call race- car groupies?

Tomas: "Pit bicycles," because everybody rides them.

What do you remember most about your first girlfriend?

Tomas: She wouldn't put out.

What was the worst thing you ever put in your mouth?

Tomas: Chewing tobacco. I was nine years old.

What has been your most embarrassing date experience?

Tomas: I was out with the guys, and they got me drunk.
I started kissing this girl, and when I woke up the
next day I found her number by my phone. I decided to
give her a call. I said, "I don't want to be rude. I
had a little too much to drink last night, and I
don't remember what you look like." She said she was
a model, so I asked her to go out that night. I
picked her up and ended up spending the evening with
the dodgiest bird ever. I don't know what she was
modeling- maybe socks.

Have you ever crashed during a race, and how bad were
the injuries?

Tomas: This past year at one of my races I suffered a
bruised heart, a bruised lung, and I tore all the
muscles in my back. I suppose it's just a part of
racing. Before I came to America I didn't take
injuries so seriously but when you start to race on
ovals in America you have the threat of hitting a wall
at 200 miles per hour, and I did. For me, my approach
hasn't changed since hitting the wall.

How do American women compare to others around the
world?

Tomas: American women for the most part all have big
tits for some reason. It's nice, but I'm a leg man.
Holland has some beautiful women. Italy as well, but
the language barrier can be a problem. Girls from
England, though, are pretty nasty looking.

Do you consider yourself much of a practical joker?

Tomas: There was a time in South Africa when bombings
were happening a lot. Well, one day I decided to set
off firecrackers in the bathroom at school. All the
kids were lying on the ground crying and screaming,
thinking that there had been some type of attack. The
teachers nailed me and I was suspended.

How would you compare a night of bliss with your
girlfriend to that of winning a race?

Tomas: I always say winning is better than sex.
There's a good 15 minutes from the time you cross the
finish line that you are just on cloud nine.

Is sex on the schedule the night before a race?

Tomas: My dad always said no sex before a race
because it makes you too aggressive, but I later
read a book by a well-known race-car driver who said
you should never change your routine. If you're
having sex regularly, don't stop things just because
you have a race the next day

Why do some of your fans call you "the tiger"?

Tomas: I got suspended from the first few days of
testing prior to the Indy 500, and my first day back
the fans were chanting, "Let the tiger loose!"

When was the last time the cops nailed you for
speeding?

Tomas: A week ago. I was going 75 in a 45 zone. It
cost me a hundred bucks.

Have you ever considered having sex in your race car?

Tomas: No. I've had offers, but it would be very
tight. For me, it wouldn't be such a thrill.

We all have a double out there. Name one person that
people say you look like.

Tomas: Jason Biggs from American Pie. It's not so
great. The guy was known for screwing pies.

When is it okay to call a girl a bitch?
Tomas: From behind.

Describe yourself in five words or less.
Tomas: [No answer]

A sexist man no doubt. Treating women like pieces of meat is not an acceptable practice by anyone's standards.

Saying women from England are ugly? Aside from my own USA, I have proabably the greatest respect and admiration for the UK and to say that is offending.

I hope Target and Chip are happy with their new find. Great role model.

Tomas Scheckter is either a plonker, or is being very badly advised...he gets fired from his F1 test job because he is caught with a "lady of the night" in Milton Keynes, which forces him to go the USA to drive. Now he consents to an interview with a girlie magazine, and waffles on about the sexual characteristics of various types of women...he is doing a great job of pitching himself to major corporations at present...

Actually, most of the questions are about sex. Quite unusual for playboy. What kind of question is 'when is it OK to call a woman a bitch' anyway?

So you've been completely in love with every woman you've been with? To think that people dont have sex for purely physical gratification on a regular basis is naive at best

So he's young and stupid and hopefully will grow out of it.

I have no desire to condemn him for his immaturity, how old is he anyway? 22, 23?

I would be much more concerned if Jody Scheckter gave those answers. :p

Um.
I'm a male Brit, 30-something, lived in UK all my life, London the last 14 years.

I've travelled quite a bit, a lot in the USA (west coast, east coast, bits in between) oh and my brother lives there too) and to be perfectly honest, I totally agree with what Tomas said about British women. (on the whole).

nothing to do with respect and admiration for the UK, it's more or less true (obviously there are exceptions to every rule though).
and he can say what he wants. - he's a young racing driver, not a politician.

Young women.
He's already lost a decent carreer in euro OW racing because he can't keep his unit/libido under control and if Target has any balls he'll likely be on his ass once again.
Whoever his agent is or was that signed him up for this interview is probably getting reamed a new one by Ganassi's staff as I type.

There is corporate speak and then there is completely making an idiot of yourself and then there is something in between, apparently Tomas only has one thing on his mind, making an idiot of himself and having pussy on his mind at all times.
Well, except for 15 minutes after his rare wins.

Reading it, I think he's being sarcastic. He knows that the questions are at a low level and responds accordingly.

I think....

Anyway, racing needs characters. Otherwise we'll just have everyone talking about in bland PR speak.
That's something corporations don't appreciate. When we watch sport, we try to escape the corporate world of work and all it represents. Sport may be following a business model, but we want our sports people to act as individuals, to be individual and unrestrained.

We all need a bit of colour in our lives.

I suspect we'll see Tomas in a F1 car once again. He is quick after all, he just needs time to mature.

Hey, Zonta said exactly the same thing about english girls a few years ago. A brazilian tv network send a reporter to england to interview Zonta and ask about his life there, they were in a nightclub and Zonta said he missed the brazilian girls because the english girls were ugly. I thought it was kinda funny, but I'm sure the english people disagree with me and I can't blame them.

As there is no racial 'caste' that could be called English, its unlike a lot of countries where 80% of the women look a lot like each other. You can't identify an English person by looking at them (clothes aside lol) so you can't say English people are ugly.

Of course a brief visit to a northern city on a saturday night will prove Im talking crap ;)

I disagree with that. There are very specific physical traits and a general look that is very English and can be identified. (Whether British women are pretty or not is in the eye of the beholder, though, and not for me to judge.)

bira I disagree. there is no racial group that could be called english.

there is anglo-saxon.. but they could easily be german or dutch
there is norman, but they could easily be french
there is nordic but they could easily be danish

there may be trends in hair, clothes etc... but physically? Im sure not.

No offence but such things are stereotypes. As somebody who is physically disabled I have a thing about people jumping to conclusions based on visual perceptions.

Anyway, we all do it in different ways, so I'll shut up.

Dude, you used to work a NHRA crew right? You know hang out on the river with the spring break crowd. You're the last person to be criticising someone for being an open hunter

I think its a fine interview partly because its in Penthouse. The Target demographic that are going to be offended arent even reading Penthouse. It arguably wasnt the best economic move for him, but he's got the talent he doesnt need to worry about licking anyone's sphincter like they do down in Daytona Beach. Schectker is refreshing and there's never a dull moment

I think it confirmed for me that Tomas is shallow and probably spends more time thinking with little head than he does big head.

He had a great job with Jag, threw that away. Was in the lead for several races in the IRL, including the Indy 500, and he threw many of those away (of course it was never his fault).

He isn't made of the same stuff his dad is, that's for sure.

He's 22. 22 year olds think like that. He just says it

32 year olds think like that too, they just try to pretend they dont. The drivers in CART, the drivers in NASCAR, and the drivers in the IRL are riding pit bicycles too but they're too busy working on their "we're good clean people" image. Tomas isnt saying anything you all dont think.

And do you blame him? He's 22, decent looking, athletic, has a really neat job and makes good money doing it. Of course when Irvine or Hunt do it they're 'characters'

I think the guy has bags of talent, but he's never gonna get anywhere with it, especially if he makes circle racing his carreer.
I wonder what his dad thinks about all this or if he's ever put the brakes on him, with some good guidance he would have had a decent F-1 shot in his future, but sadly it looks like that is not gonna be in the cards.

And you dont think he's hitting it hardcore? Yeah Scheckter got busted for kerb crawling, but there was a lot more going on than that. Jag werent giving him much mileage anyways in spite of being team 'test drivers' and in many ways I feel they were looking for a chance to get rid of him. I dont think it really hurt him because he was hardly racing that year anyways. I dont feel like it really did anything to harm his F1 career, nor will the Enge doping situation hurt his. If he doesnt have the money/contacts/CV or whatever to get to F1 he wont get to F1, the ther stuff is just a fall back excuse

the problem with tommy can be summarized in two words: bad judgement.

like ross says, most of his errors can be chalked up to youth and inexperience, but at some point it would be nice to see mr. scheckter display some talent other than a strong propensity for stepping on his own dick.

not to worry, he's got plenty of time to redeem himself.

You're right, people who think like that at 22 will think like that at 32, and at 42, and so on. I like to call people like that dickheads. I'm 21, and I don't think like that. My friends don't think like that. I do know people who think like little Tommy, and they're dickheads. It's not age related, there are just people who grew up to be pricks. Respect for women is not something that you usually acquire with age, you just acquire enough wisdom to keep your mouth shut. I will root for him in IRL this year, because I feel he's another Montoya in the making, but pesonally reading this interview disappointed and appalled me greatly.

Skin mags have a habit of leading their interviewees and manipulating their answers, so don't take this at face value.
From what I saw of Tomas in FFords is SA, he didn't have all that going on with the ladies....
Or with FFords, for that matter.

I place this interview as a quiet guy thrust into the limelight trying to sound like a studmeister.
Sad, but not an indication of character too much, unless he starts believing it himself.

And the kerb crawling?? A guys gotta have his first time somewhere ;)

What was he doing giving an interview to Penthouse anyway? I sure hope that what you're saying is right.
