Around 1988 during pratice for the German GP Ferrari had prepared a special front wing. It was mounted on Bergers car. During free practice he had an off at the Nord Kurve. This is the first corner after start/finish. The front wing came of and flipped over the fence into the spectator area. Not hurting anyone (I think).
However Ferrari had only one such super wing and wanted it to be returned (obviously to get better times). After some friendly asking it was not returned. Then a bonus visit in the Ferrari pits and paddock was promised. The spoiler was not returned. Even after promising other original car parts (this was before those parts were put up for sale for prices you can afford some good racing yourself) the spoiler was not yet returned.
Now my question is guys: who did it, and isnt it time to return the wing???
Has anyone seen this Ferrari wing II

a) Ron Dennis?
b) Yes; probably wouldn't help them to go any faster now.

But how many people out there are using a March 711 nose as a tea-tray?

Sounds like much ado about nothing. Even if it were some sort of super wing, and it was the only one they had, there would have been drawings and designs for them to make another one.
