Can anyone identify all 23 chaps? (I’m pretty sure in the case of 12 of them.)
For this purpose I have numbered them (although I simply do not know why especially # 10, 11, 15, 19, 20 & 21 are barely visible ).
PS.
@ Twinny: Would you please hold back in order to give other people a chance.
I’m convinced you would supply the names in no time.

Am I allowed to say that Thack is still wearing the same pair of overalls he used in 1982?

# 9 refers to the elder one behind M.Ferté (who is # 10). # 14 refers to the guy behind Pirro (who is # 15). As I said # 10 & 15 are barely visible. I will have to work on my Photoshop skills.Originally posted by starlet

Judging by their clothing the un-identified driver is no. 12, but doesn't look to be Mario.
1, 4, 6, 7, 9 , 11, 14, 17 look to be the non-drivers.

I had a feeling I was wrong on that. Sorry Cesare Garibaldi was a mathemetician I think.
I'm assuming from your subsequent post I got the right guy though?

NoNo! :-)
The "very famous" Garibaldi was Giuseppe, not Cesare:
He's known here in Italy as "L'eroe dei due mondi" (the hero of the two worlds-the European and American continents), he was some kind of a patriot/revolutionary....

The man that united Italy. I know about that Garibaldi. There is a Cesare Garibaldi who was a mathemetician and engineer born in the mid 1800s, and I have no idea why his name has stuck in my mind. :

1, 4, 6, 7, 9, 11, 14, 17 should be team personnel.
# 1: Cesare Gariboldi (Genoa) – 4 votes are good enough for me
# 4: Bob Sparshott (BS) – 1 vote, hmmm
# 6: Pierluigi Corbari (Italia 3000) – 3 votes are good enough for me
# 7: mystery man
# 9: Ron Tauranac (Ralt) – 2 votes, I agree
# 11: mystery man – I guess it could be Peter MacIntosh (PMC)
# 14: Mike Earle (Onys) – 3 votes are good enough for me
# 17: Henri Julien (AGS) – 3 votes, but I don’t believe it is him. The guy in the picture is much younger than Monsieur Julien should have been in 1985. I think it could be Christian Vanderpleyn (also AGS).
Teams which should be represented are ORECA (Hugues de Chaunac anywhere?) and Sanremo (Alberto Colombo anywhere?).
Okay, Twinny, it's your turn to solve the riddle.;)

Agree with Twin Window. No.14 is too tall for Bob Sparshott
