I am sorry about the size but I don't know how to reduce it. This was my first try with a digital camera and when I downloaded the images to my PC they went into something called "Wizard."

Also, and I am sure this question has been asked before, but how do I attach more than one photo to the same post using IMAGE SHACK?

Much more good stuff to follow, cheers.

For each photo you simply upload to Imageshack, copy the link, paste it into your post, hit the return key a couple of times, go back to Imageshack, and repeat until you have all the photos in there you want. I prefer to link thumbnails rather then the entire photo for the benefit of dial-up users.

Thanks VWV, here is one you might like -

I hesitate posting such large photos. I personally don't like having to scroll about in order to see the entire image.

Rob G - thanks, I'll give that a try.

An MG campsite well outside the main paddock area.
Wish I had gone down the hill to get a few more photos
of the red MGA. The two MGB's look very good as well.

The car is from Lakeville, Minnesota and raced in Group 2, Class C.

As I walked along the hill passed the three MGs I noticed this lovely machine which prompted
me to walk down for a closer look.

When are you going to get Irfanview?

This is too easy with that program...

Ray, happy you liked it. Here is another view.

I have no idea what Irfanview is. Maybe you could PM me with more info. I would love to make these images
a bit smaller. Cheetah to follow;)

PM Schmee-em!

www.irfanview.com/main_download_engl.htm

It makes this sort of thing so easy! Use it as your default image viewer, you can't go wrong. Did you notice I also changed the lighting in most of those pics? And I sharpened them up a bit too? Maybe 30 seconds per pic, all done.

Notice how Mrs Fitzpatrick has placed flowers on the table. She said that they had stayed at the same motel as her neighbors with the Sadler when they raced at the Monterey Historics three years ago, and were pleasantly surprised when they found that they were neighbors once again.

Ray, it works! Thank you very much.

Now was that the red or yellow Cheetah that you wanted to see?

A great weekend there for me. I have about 300 pics but I think maybe 30 are really good. I concentrated more on F1, Can-Am, and GTP cars. Most on the straight and pre-grid since I had to run over from working on our Formuls Fords. A Winkelman (blue) and a Titan (purple w/ white stripe). I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did.

Paul,

I, that is to say we at the company where I sneakily use my PC to keep an eye on TNF, don't have Irfanview either.

What I do is open a JPeg in Paint, which is on most PCs, and use 'Image-Stretch/Skew' to reduce it (horizontal AND vertical) to a percentage which will bring it down to below 50 kb, and re-save it (you can use Paint to save Bitmaps as JPegs too).

Words cannot describe the beauty of this little machine.
Received top honors at the concours.
I missed the build date.

Paul, you and I must have been tripping over each other at the concours finals. I swear that some of the same people are in the background of my picture of that OSCA, as well as a couple of the Fiat Abarth behind!

Paul M - thanks for the tips.

William - definately worth standing in the noonday sun for, I think.

Took this shot at about 7:30 Sunday morning, only about 80 degrees then....

1962 MGA, from Pewaukee WI, Group 2, Class C Posted Image

If may borrow one of Alain de Cadenet's favorite words, the ubiguitous MGA.
Certainly not exotic or heavy metal, it's still nice finding these at historic racing events,
especially since my first car was a '58 FHC.

The only thing the owner of this car and I have in common is we both removed the heater.
It took up almost as much space under the hood as the engine.

...oh, and this one had strange holes cut in the hood  and the steering wheel is on the wrong side.......

Notwithstanding the paint job and the awful roll bar she has lovely lines don't you think?

Mike Argetsinger at the wheel. The car is enough of a brute to handle without engine coolant leaking onto the rear tires. He retired the car on lap 3 to save the engine. The owner, John Meyer, said "thank you."

Anyone else care to share some photos from this weekend? I simply could not take the heat and left for home around noon.

Paul, I wasn't there but I assume this is the same Ferrari - from the vintage fest at Lime Rock over Labor Day weekend. I'm slowly getting these scanned and have a few in the Paddock Club thread.

Okay, Paul, here's a few I liked:

An Alfa Romeo:

The Amazing Echnida from Hibbing Minnesota:

That Fiat, and an attempt to make a car the size of my desk look dramatic:

Finally, one of the Jaguars run by Jaguar US, or whomever. Yeah, Baby!
