Hi there people,
I'm looking for information about 1 car that raced and won that 1 race.
It is the Ferrari of Villeneuve, a 312T3.
But not just a 312T3, it was one with, I think, with ground effect.
This car.
Would anybody out there have more info or even better more pics.
Please put them here or let me know about it.
Thanks, Roland

It's the same sort of car they ran in South America, there should be lots of pix on the net - yes, a T3 with sliding skirts and (presumably) some sort of ground-effects.

Race of Champions, 15th April 1979.
Gilles Villeneuve won in 53m 17.12s
My information has his car listed as a Ferrari 312T3A, if that helps.

033 was used to test sliding skirts before the T4s were ready. It was the spare car in Argentina and South Africa, but not raced at either. The cars raced didn't have the sliding skirts. I don't think it could be said to have any sort of serious ground effects benefit.

that's me again, posting w/o checking the facts! I just remembered a picture of a "skirted" T3 in winter testing and presumed they ran like that in the races, too! Sorry!

Hi people,
Thanks for the information sofar but I found something new.
Because I just found a site with an articall about the T3 and I think it is the T3 raced at the 1979 race of champions at Brands.
Just have a look at this car, wthout skirts, as is normal when ground effect cars are raced these days.
It is clearly diffirent then a normal 1978 or biginning 1979 car.
Would anyone know more about it or knows where the pics are taken or even the owner of this car.
