Can possibly any of the Belgian members please help me find out information on the Tour De Belgique.

I have tried to google for information but have drawn mostly a blank.

I'm trying to research a competitors plate from the event so would like to find out any results and entry lists of the Tour.

Have there been any books published on the event in Belgium?

Many thanks for any info passed on.

Cheers
Rob

The Tour de Belgique event started in 1949 as a rallye for little cars (it was Le Tour de Belgique des petites voitures).

There is no book about that event (except 1956), and no website.

I have collected the results of some editions between 1949 and 1954, and have it as Excel files.

The complete results of the 1956 edition are included in a book called "Une année de sport mécanique", written by Paul Delrivière (from the newspaper Les Sports). Good luck to find that book !

Many thanks for your contribution Marc.

I will have to persevere with my quest as by the sound of things there seems very little information available.

Cheers
